When you talk about "cant open door" is handle or lock door; if is the handle its possible that you need take off the trim panel and adjust actuator. If its the door lock, its possible that need replace the switch (bad) or check the wires for corrosion or loss connections.

tell us news.

thanks ZJLimited - the door handle moves fine and the door lock buttons on both dors seem to pop up ad down ok when pressing the lck / unlock buttons on the remote - but the drivers door will not open inside or out and it happens intermittently and somehow seems to be related to after the car auto-locks itself after starting driving.

    It is definite
that you must remove the door panel to make a complete revision of the
mechanical system first, then the electric system in the drivers door.
I discard a problem with the GEM module, as this is being presented only in drivers door.

Mentioned symptoms and intermittent, could indicate a pending problem setting any of its components, or some loose wiring. If all this is fine, then the problem would be the switch.

    Send us your test.

Does my 2008 Chrysler sebring have two thermostats

there is only one thermostat on your car. what you probably have is split temp control one to set temp for the passenger side and one for the drivers side. if so then the temp control door on the passenger side is probably not functioning properly. take it to a shop to have fixed.

How to fix a short in the passenger power window of a 2005 chrysler sebring coupe

Hi Mike, I'm glad to help! This happens on various vehicles because right where you are talking about the wire flex back and forth until one or more break into. What you'll need to do is pull the rubber boot thats around the wiring back from the body side to expose the wiring. NOTE: If you can't find the break there then you'll need to pull the boot back from the door side and check the wiring. NOTE: Once you find the broken wire or wire's, here's how you fix them so they will not re-break. CAUTION: Do Not put them together right where the break is because they will re-break. Instead, take a long piece of wire and attach it to the door side wire, then run the wire through to the inde of the car on the body side wiring and attach there. THIS way its not flexing like it did before. What You Need: You'll need heat shrink wrap, you can get it at the auto store, You'll need solder "Rosin Core" You'll need a soldering gun to solder the wiring and you'll need a Heat Gun to melt the heat shrink to cover the exposed wiring the you soldered. Hope this help and have an awesome day Mike.

Doors not opening even if they are unlocked

My 2009 Sebring does the same thing occasionally but only the drivers door gets stuck (dead locked - even though the locks appear to pop up).
The solution I have found once this happens is:
1) The car needs to be driven (crawl in thru the passenger door) -even just a short distance
2) Engine shut off & doors locked with remote (after you've exited from the passenger door of course)
3) Leave turned off for 10 minutes
4) Doors will now open when unlocked with the remote

My passenger door wont close on my 2010 chrysler sebring

I have recently experienced this same problem. I know this may sound funny, but you could try pulling on the outside door handle (of the passenger) side while it's open. Often times doing this will help the "gadgets" inside your door to reset and it will open/close just fine after that. I would definitely suggest this before taking your car in to be looked at.

HELP please!! My daughter has a 96 sebring convertible and today she put her key in the door to unlock it and the alarm started going off. It wont stop, have disconnected the positive and negative battery...

Just a quick note once you hook the battery back up try locking it and unlocking it from the drivers door, if that fails you might try the passenger door. I know on some chrysler products you have to lock and lock again to arm and unlock to disarm. I hope this helps.

How to replace driver side mirror on a 2007 chrysler sebring ltd

Once you take of the door panel, you should have two or three nuts behind the black triangler shape cover..Once you take them off, you just reverse the procedure...To take the door panel off, you may need a flat head screwdriver, and a phillip screwdriver..You may have two or three screws to take off..One is by the door handle..One may be under the window switch..which you can pop that off with the flat head screwdriver...Then just pop the panel off, and disconnect all the connections..Should be no more than 3....Goodluck..

The jxi coupe 98 where is the battery how to find

Look at the passenger side Wheel well. I noticed when I was at a dealer once that they had put the batter here on some models. Front passenger side. If you don't find it there you'll have to look under the panel in the truck or under the back seat.
