Did you use an amplifier also when installing? Try turning it to FM and see if any static or sound comes out. make sure the volume is up also rek('_tx6');.

Once there is open access to the speaker, check the speaker itself, the wiring, and connectors for any sort of damage or loose connection. Oftentimes, a visual inspection will already reveal damage on the speaker unit. For example, a cracked or distorted cone will mean that the speaker is damaged and should already be replaced.

Use an electronic multimeter to check the continuity of speaker cables. The best type of multimeter is one that beeps when there is a complete or unbroken circuit. Set the tester to the continuity or “beep” test mode, and then connect each test lead to the speaker connector leads. A continuous beep will be heard if the speaker cables are okay. Otherwise, there is a break somewhere that needs to be repaired.

    Hi,
It seems I have not been understood …
When I bought the car… and when the player was turned On there was NO sound…
I then pulled out the player only to find out the Speakers had been disconnected on the player...
I connected them back… the player plays with Sound… BUT every 30sec there is a Beep….
Now How DO I Stop the Beeping?
    Thanks
    Salim

Hello my name is Ben. The beeping means the radio security feature has been activated. This happens whenever power has been disconnected from the radio. If you do not have the code for the radio, it will need to be repaired by a Peugeot dealer.

The beeping is a security feature. It renders the radio useless if someone steals it, unless they enjoy the beeping.

I have a peugeot 206 v reg, I've had this car for

Not a Peugeot expert, but it sounds like you are not keeping the radio memory alive when the key is off. Usually there is a circuit to the radio that is hot with the key off that keeps the memory for stations etc.
Sometimes this is the same circuit for interior lights or cig lighter.

I need the radio code for my peugeot 206, v reg

Hi

If you contact the peugeot dealer and give them the car reg number or chassis number, providing the radio is a standard peugeot radio they should have the code. its about £20 I think alternatively look copy and paste the URL or click http://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&_trksid=p3907.m570.l1313&_nkw=peugeot+radio+code&_sacat=See-All-Categories

There are many people on ebay who can decode the radio if you know the number on the side of it.

Hope this helps
Regards
Dan

Dashboard fault

I too have a Peugeot 206 - and has given me nothing but grief - mostly electrical.

The fact you are suddenly losing systems, and draining battery points to a short in the wiring loom - which is a common fault on pugs.

I advise you trace the wire from the rear heater to the fusebox (it's labeled in there). Use a cheap multimeter - pull the fuse out and check the wiring both to the heater (resistance to good earth) and the supply( check for 12V )with the switch on. You may end up undoing the loom cover in the engine bay - but check your feet area first for any damaged wires. Try wiggling the loom with the ignition switch on and in neutral to find the problem. Often just taping it up properly solves it.
