How do I safely install my grandson's new Graco carseat? I can not locate the top anchor for the LATCH system.

Is it a LATCH type seat? The best location is the middle row. There is an anchor in the rear bottom where you can clip the tether. The rest of the seat is secured by threading the warbler through the rear of the child seat.

Your owner's manual should explain how to install a car seat. If not, you can go to a GM or Chevy dealer and ask for assistance. This is a mandatory safety problem they should not charge you to just assist in installing the seat.

mcdevito75 here, As far as I know regarding Baby seats for autos these so called anchors are built into the baby seat itself, refer to the owners manual for the baby seat to install.

Depends on when it was made. LATCH systems became mandatory for passenger vehicles in 2000 so it depends on when your particular vehicle was actually manufactured. The car owner's manual should have a section on it. If you no longer have one, you should be able to look it up online or call your local Dodge dealer. You also can look at the car's seat for the markers. There should be a button or stiching of a carseat near the bight (seat crack) where the LATCH anchors are located.

Remove the interior door panel this can be done with the door closed. peel back the moisture barrier, look inside the door and you will see a latch mechanism with two cables next to it, the top cable releases the top latch and the bottom cable releases the bottom latch, the top latch cable is probably not mounted to the latch (anchored) you will probably have to replaace it with a new one, then it should work fine.
