SOURCE: knock sensor code, p0330

The knock sensors either work or they don't. When they do not, the light comes on. All that a knock senor is is a piezo crystal that vibrates at the frequency that is comparable to engine "knock", and sends that yes/no signal to the ECU. There are 2 knock sensors, and both are bolted to each side of the engine interior walls, under each cylinder head. You have to remove both of the intake manifolds to access the knock sensors and their wiring.
Price to pay? My flat rate book suggests 3.7 hrs to change both. 3.7 hrs times your local labour rate, plus the price of the 2 sensors and/or wiring, and the price for the gaskets for the upper & lower manifolds. Depending on your location, you could quickly spend over $500.00.

SOURCE: 2003 Honda Oddyssey - PO325 Knock Sensor

If The engine in your van is a 3.5L, the knock sensor is under the upper intake manifold. This has to be removed in order to access the sensor on top of the engine block. The job requires an upper intake gasket set and about 1.5 hours to do; if you are handy with tools. For those who aren't; better off leaving this one to the professionals.

It senses when the engine pings and the computer will adjust the timing accordingly. It is located in the block.

I don't know where the knock sensor is exactly on this engine, but if you buy the replacement first it will help you identify it.

It's screwed into the block near the head or the head itself. It has an electrical connector attached to it (two wires, I believe).

The replacement is pretty simple: remove the electrical connector from the old one; screw it out with a wrench; screw the new one in and; plug the connector onto it.

I have a 2000 VW beatle showing a trouble code P0322 Speed Sensor. I checked with Ohms meter and received correct reading? Car cuts off when hot.

Speed Sensor has nothing to do with the engine cutting off
PO322 is a Generic Code for a Knock Sensor
You need to Google your codes & read up
An OHM Meter won't do anything for you on a Speed
Sensor, need a scan tool or scope
I would say you have an overheating condition to correct
& the knock sensor plays a role, wouldn't you think!

I have a 2004 chevy 5.3 liter avalanche and it is making a ticking or knocking sound. It was taken to auto zone and connected to a diagnostic computer, they told me it was the knock sensor. My question is...

Does it only do it when cold? If so, this is "normal." Its b/c metal contracts when cold, and the tolerance of the way the engine is designed causes the "knock" but its normal and not harmful.

I have a 2003 avalanche my truck went out on me driving home I originally thought it was a transmission problem but it may just be my oxygen sensor being off I need troubleshooting ideas to determine if...

Give me a little more information. Did the truck stall out? Did you have any trouble restarting. Did the check engine light stay on? A bad O2 sensor wouldn't cause the truck to quit running. Probably wouldn't even make it run bad. We need to look elsewhere. If the truck is drivable , take it to a good auto part store or repair shop and have the computer scanned for trouble codes. With the multitude of sensors and computer controlled systems, the codes are our only way to determine what is happening with the engine.

I have check engine light on my 2002 chevy avalanche and the code reads P0327 please help

That code is for your knock sensor which is located under your intake manifold. There are two under the intake. I would recommend replacing both, they are 40 dollars a piece usually plus the labor to remove the intake.
