Usually from inside the car, look for a carpet or plastic panel that can be removed to get to the bulbs.

Use the test light and probe back a couple inches from the plug. Check for power there. Also put the test light on the B+ side of the battery and check the ground wire.

95 dodge neon brake lights and rear turn signal will not work,

The fast blinking is usually a bulb burned out. Replace the rear bulbs. If this is not the problem , it may be a ground issue, but it really does sound like a bulb issue. Also inspect the light socket while you are there. Look for any bad corrosion Good luck

No turn signals, 1 driver brake light bad, ABS light on. 2002/2003 CVPI

Sounds like you have 'ground' issues. Apply the brakes using a broom stick or more apropriate tool so that the brake lights are activated. Then go to the brake light that is not bright enough. using a test-light with a sharp pointed probe, poke the ground wire close to the bulb (usually a black wire) make sure the test light is attached to a grounded bolt. if the brake light gets brighter with ground added, you need a new ground wire. Splice it in to the existing wire & attach it to a bolt. Lights should work better with proper ground. (each bulb has a positive post & neg. post, don't add ground to the side with power coming through it from Battery (+)(red light on test light) - probe wires FIRST with test light to find (+) POS. Hot wire, and leave that one alone.

2003 Ford Explorer Sport rear turn signal acting up

if it's only the rear turn signal that does this, check the plug where the bulb snaps in. if loose or bad connection to bulb, it will sometimes work and sometimes not. if its both the front and rear turn signal bulbs, could be the combination switch. these were common failures on fords

2002 Sunfire SE: rear signal light

Turn the signal light on to the right and probe the contacts in the bulb socket with a test light to see if the power is there, your test light should blink, the other contact in the socket is the parking lights and tail light.
if no power at contacts probe the wire it's self where it enters the socket for power.if you have it there the socket is faulty.

On GM cars when the lights flash at a high rate of speed there is a bulb that needs replacing. Many of these bulbs have two filaments, with one burnt out the light will still turn on but the part that lets it flash is gone, it will appear fine though. You'll have to replace the rear bulb(s) as the one in the front is working still. This should solve the problem.
