Depending on the system (factory or aftermarket) the answer will vary.I can only help you if it is a factory system.The Module is a small plastic box usually located way up under the dash on the drivers side.Before I change the module here are a couple of hints to check out first.Check the brake lamp switch at the pedal,check the connector to the linkage under the hood and please check all fuses too!

The cruise control doesn't have a dedicated fuse, it is part of the engine control module which is called the PCM.

I don't think there is a BCM for those year
why do you want to change BCM (body computer module)
differ from PCM (powertrain control module)

There are fuses and relays in the fuse box under the hood of your Caprice. Open the top of the fuse box and refer to the location chart for headlights, etc.

check for bad ground connection...loose wire or ground will cause overheating and damage to module

We could assuming that you ask about location? For 1996 Chevrolet Caprice 5.7L SFI OHV 8cyl the Engine Control Computer is located under hood, driver side, upper engine area, mounted on side of air filter housing. I need the firing order and diagram of 1991 305. i changed cap but forgot to mark my wire location on the cap


Here ya go! #1 on the cap is the solid white dot...and then it goes clock-wise, 2, then 3 and so on.

1992 Chevy Caprice Cruise Control

On the wagon versions that I have owned for 10yrs now, my cruise control would stop working at the same time my middle brake light on the rear window would stop working. They use the same circut. I have had success by claening all connection to and in the light housing.

Need the location of the mapping sensor for a 1994 chevy caprice

Hello l_anderson36: My name is Roger and I will help you. You should find the map sensor at the front of the engine. Located on the drivers side of the engine. The sensor will have a plug with three wires on it.
