SOURCE: Honda Civic Issue with Radio Volume Control

This is a known problem with the factory units and no, there is no fix. There is a series of checks you can do, but short of that the only option has been to replace the unit. I have included the graphic for the checks, other than that it is not fixable.

Try removing all power connections to unit and wait a few minutes. If it continues to exhibit anomaly when reconnected, the ic controlling the volume is defective or there could be a mis tracking potentiometer volume control).

Radio has what looks like a phone symbol on it. Nothing else works on radio. Volume knob still reacts. On star phone comes on and will disconnect. Radio, CD, etc never comes back on. Symbol stays on all...

The 2009 Saturn Aura added the bluetooth (phone) feature and many other GM models with similar looking radios had it in past model years. The 2007 did not come with bluetooth (or Human Machine Interface).
There are two possibilities: the radio has been changed from another vehicle and is incompatible with your car or locked or your OnStar is malfunctioning. Either situation will require a trip to your friendly Saturn dealership (or Saturn Service Center) to repair.

The volume not does not work on the infinity radio. I can control volume from the steering wheel but not the knob. Is this normal? Can it be fixed?

dear friend-the volume on the steering works from the back of the radio and the knob from the front, they work seperate but both can be used,so the knob on your radio is not working.

Volume control knob on radio turns volume up at all times

first of all if you live in a cold climate I never turn the radio on until the car warms up if you can remove the knob on the radio spray a light amount of WD 40 and then put the knob back on and turn it back and forth and if you have pop on your hand or water also dry your hands off before touching the radio the lights and the radio will last a lot longer also and also before leaving the car always remember to turn the radio off it will be alot easier on your battery as well
