I have a 05 cheve Malibu. I have no transmission dipstick and I need to know where to pour more fluid because its very low and the place where I used to pour it I was told that it wasn't the right...

With the vehicle on a lift or fully level on jack stands You remove the fill plug. The fluid should be level with bottom threads of the plug. If it's low, fill that opening until the level reaches the threads

Where do i fill transmission fluid on 2002 volkswagen passat

No fluids are consumed in any vehicle

Thinking something you know nothing about
& the real issues, should be addressed at a repair
shop or trans shop

If it is low on trans fluid, then most likely
the damage is done already, based on your

If it is low, then at the very least, you repair the leak,
not just add fluid

Where do you put the transmission fluid if it low

how do you know it's low. If you know it's low you know where to put fluid in.

raise car level when hot. let it idle. remove upper plug. pump fluid in till it comes out. It is now full.

don't let car fall on you when it's running. it will kill you.

sounds like the governer is sticking. You could do a trans fluid service and hopefully get lucky but most likely the trans will need to be opened tio fix this.

Manual transmission on 1997

If there is no dipstick, then there will be a plug on the side of the transmission that you remove and put your finger in to feel the lever of fluid. (I hate this style personally, if ur trani is too full of fluid it drains out through this level checking hole) if its too low ... you don't know how low so add until fluid just begins to drip out, or if you can see into the hole, fill until fluid gets to the rim.

Can you shift into 2nd? 3rd? etc. if you can shift into those easily then fluid is probably not the cause.

It could be a worn clutch, worn out shift forks, damaged teeth on gears. there are several more, if this does not solve it let me know and give as many details as you can to help diagnosis.

Low transmission fluid have to get under the car and remove the filler plug ABOVE the drain plug. You fill it till it comes out of that hole. You have what is called a closed cased transmission. Filling your transmission is very similar to filling a rear differential case.

Hope this helps!
