How do you replace ingnition coil and wires on 89 crown victoria

There are two possible answers. One with a distributor and one with the electronic distributorless ignition system. I'll put both here, starting with the distributor style first.

1) remove the negative cable from battery
2) remove the wires from the primary terminals on the coil (if there is only one, then remove that one)
3) unplug the secondary coil lead
4) remove the bolts and mounting bracket.
Do the same in reverse order to install new part
DISTIBUTORLESS SYSTEM
1) disconnect negative cable from battery
2) remove coil wires from each coil pack (Do NOT just grab and pull the wires off, use the locking tabs, push them in, twist and pull the wires off)
3) remove the bolts and bracket

When you replace the system or spark plug wires, using dielectric grease is a good idea.

On distributorless models, make sure you have the wires connected to the proper coil using the firing order as a reference. Firing order 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8

Tip: Mark and label the wires so you do not mix them up

Trying to locate spark plugs on 99 crown vic police interceptor engine

They should be mounted down in the cylinder heads, you'll need to remove each coil pack. A long extension and 5/8in spark plug socket and an extendable magnet will help. Also, you may need to remove the fuel rail to get to move the coil packs.

How do you tune up a 1993 ford crown victoria

All you really have is the spark plugs and spark plug wires, I believe your car doesn't have a cap and rotor to replace, just coil packs, which really isn't something you replace when you do a tune up. I would also replace the fuel filter and check the air filter. Make sure you change 1 wire at a time, so they don't get put back on wrong.

Sorry for the delay.
I am going back to answer you unanswered question.
You haven't stated what "wiring" diagram you need; however I am assuming it is for your Engine:-Spark Plugs, Wires and Coils.

Click on the following direct Link. It has the Spark Plugs, Wires and Coils - Diagrams for your specific vehicle.

I just purchased a 93 Crown Victoria with the 4.6 litre V8. It idles ok but bucks under any acceleration...misses badly. To the point where I went over an overpass and begin losing speed. All the spark...

your problem is not wire location, it sounds like bad wire or wires, also those engine are pron to bad coils, but i think you should start with wires, also check fuel filter or just replace if you can check fuel preasure.hope this helps.

2001 ford crownvictoria 4.6L #3 cylinder not firing what could be the problem

Most likely a bad coil pack. But it could be a number of things like spark plug, coil pack, wiring to them, fuel injector or wiring, bad driver in computer or an internal engine problem causing no compression in cylinder.

I need a wiring diagram for an 83 crown victoria starter coil

if you turn the key and the engine spins but doesnt fire try checking the timing for it to make spark at the time you need it to ,if it's out it wont catch and run or check for spark at the spark plug make sure it has spark use a dummy sparkplug in the boot and hold it on a ground and crank engine look for a blueish spark and if you have bare hands holding it you'll get a good jolt (insulated pliers)
