Which component do you speak of?
10W30 or 5W30 is typically sufficient for motors.
Other components take other types of oil.

It kind of depends on a few things. The manufacturer recommends a certain weight, but as a car gets older it needs to change. If it was built with synthetic oil in it you need to keep using synthetic. If it isn't please tell me a couple of things.Area where you live so I can consider climate, and mileage on the car.If you are unsure about synthetic, call a shop, someone will tell you free if it came with synthetic or not because they want your business.Considering the year I would say it probably wasn't initially synthetic, but it is important to know for sure.If you are too busy to do that please let me know the engine size and I'll call around.

HI monday i saw the light on the dash board written P\S so i just wanna know wat is it for cos i think its for power steering

If you "feel" it's the power steering oil, check P/S level to be sure.
If you see that really you need to add oil, check in your user's manual what TYPE of oil you should use for power steering. Normally in most cars it's the same type of oil used for transmission.
You don't have the Manual?
Look here, ok, it's a 2005 manual but I'm quite suer they use the same oil.

In any case, the neares Citroen dealer might help you .
If level is OK, you should do a computer scan or your car to find out why P/S list's in.

'02 Diamante oil light and clicking noise

Here goes:
Please do not drive the car.
Have the car towed to a well-recommended garage
Have someone unscrew the oil pressure light or gauge sending unit in the engine block and screw is a oil pressure guage ( hand held, used in garages).
Test that pressure carefully at all speeds.
Either you have: a bad oil pump, a plugged oil filter, a clogged oil passageway, or a bad engine.
The ticking sound might be valve lifters that are not receiving oil.
God bless your efforts.
