Usually these break in pairs because of the air compressor....but you may have one ruptured bag.

It could be multiple issues. Check the connections well, and fill it with air. Listen for the sound of leaking air and there you have it. Could be the pump, lines, connections, bags.

SOURCE: replaced front bags with shocks and the rear bags will not fill

It sounds to me like you have a hole or cracks in your airbag. The dealership typically diagnoses it as the compressor but that is only to keep you coming back and wasting more money on something that will never truly be fixed. The airbag is the problem now but the compressor has to work extra hard because it is like blowing up a balloon with a hole in it. Therefor the airbag will kill the compressor. I would recommend going to strutmasters.com and taking a look at our conversion kits. these convert you from the airbag to a powder coated American made steel coil spring that is guaranteed to last the life of the car. This is a PERMANENT fix. I added the link below so you can check it out.

I hope I was of some help

Good Luck!!!

The air bags in the rear suspension has deflated and car sits too low on ground, this happened after a breakdown from a broken axle.

Common problem. Air bags are faulty. Costs thousands to replace. May last a year or twoo. Substitute available at rockauto.com I believe

Yes, it's called a lamp fault code.

9 is not familiar to me. Call dealer service department and ask them what code means.

Here are codes for a 94 Aerostar. I don't have 91 Sable. Sorry.
