This estimate is with the highest price motor mount from all the mount for this car, also I used the highest labor time out of all the mount for your car, I came up with$150.00 with parts and labor for your car, (worst case), I would look for another repair shop, that will treat you fair and not trying to get over you.Hope this was very helpful.

How to replace starter for 2001 Ford Explorer directions

Disconnect all cables connected to the input, including the ground wire to the stud starter, starter cable and connector valve. Remove the starter mounting bolts, starting with the upper bolts and insert them into the jar to preserve them for later. Then remove the starter motor. Place the new starter in place and install mounting screws. Tighten the mounting screw. Replace the nut on the starter cable to the port B of the solenoid. Tighten the nut between 80 to 123 inch-pounds (9 to 14 Nm). Close the additional wiring to the starter and replace the red cap. Cant get the oil pan off a 302

You have to jack the engine up after removing the motor mount bolts on each side. Then once you have the engine jacked up a few inches, slide a piece of wood (2x4) in between the upper and lower parts of the motor mounts on each side. This will keep the engine elevated enough for you to drop the oil pan and replace the gasket. Then, just put all the bolts back in in the proper torque sequence, torque them all to spec, remove the wooden blocks from the motor mounts, slowly lower the engine back down and put the motor mount bolts back in.

I have two broken exhaust manifolds. what kind of costs should i expect

Two broken manifolds are caused by engine mount problems. The engine had to be rocking in the mounts substantually to break both manifolds. The parts and labor for the engine mount repair if needed is not listed but can easily run $300.00 in addition to the costs below depending on the number of mounts required and equipment to be disconnected for engine mount replacement.

Here is just the Manifolds estimate:
Estimate Includes: Labor: $478 - $609

Parts:
$170 - $1067

Estimates exclude applicable taxes, diagnostic charges, disposal fees, and miscellaneous expenses.

How do i remove water pump on 1998 buick riviera .I have al the bolts detached minus the one wih the pully in front of it that butts up against the motor mount

u must jack up the car underneath the oil pan to support the engines weight. Then remove the motor mount. Then you can remove the last two bolts on the water pump. There are two holes in the bracket that is bolted to your engine block. These holes allow u access to the last two water pump bolts. If you loosen the upper bolt of the bracket itself u can swing it forward to get to the bolts on the water pump more easily. Do not completely remove the bracket! It's a tight space, but you'll extend the repair time if you remove the bracket versus swnging it forward.

Block and mounts

there are at least 2 bolts that hold mount to block maybe 3 but whatever, you need them all. if you got one broke off in the block you got to get it out, drill hole down center and use an easyout to get it out, and plenty of penatrant. now there is only one bolt and nut that holds mount to the frame , if thats broke, all you need is a new motor mount.
