I have a 1992 Altima that has break lights that won't turn off unless I disconnect the battery. Do you think that this is a ground wire?

No check your brake light switch, could need adjusting, follow brake paddle up under dash, switch will hook up to it.Adjust it in or out, till switch hit brake paddle arm, the button on the switch is push in, brake light will be off, till you apply brakes then it will come on.

No power to my headlights or wipers

it sounds like you have some loose wires, or bad ground since you found the place that when tapped does something, first thing disconnect your battery, neg first, the pos, there should be a couple of bolts holding down the fuse box, take them out, now if you can turn it over, or try to locate the wires hooked up to the one fuse you were tapping, checking those wires to make sure they are good, not rusted, broken, bare , and tight, fix if not if not, then check the bus bar on the fuse box, this is were the pos cable from the battery goes, sometimes these come loose, break, and can cause all kinds of things also check your ground wires, to make sure they have a good ground

Odometer won't work unless headlights turned off, radio lights dim, blinker won't blink all the time now battery light comes on but battery tests good. Intermittent issues getting worse. Horn

You probably have a bad ground in the electronic instrument cluster, or cluster connection to wiring harness. I would recomend you have a qualified auto tech diagnose it. It is not a easy fix.

I have a 1992 Nissan that somebody cut into the wires going to the battery now I've tried to wire it back together but now I'm getting no pulsating ground and truck won't start but will run if...

This truck will not run else you pour gas into throtle body.
Okay, you know its fuel, you are saying that the wires to battery were cut.

Before going into the wiring did you use a noid light to see if there is a pulse at injectors? or are you thinking its that due to the fuel not getting to engine?
I would make sure the fuelpump is operating and suppling enough fuel pressure and test the injectors for power and ground, a noid light would be a great cheap tool to test.

If you have already tested and there is no pluse then check the wiring but take note, check wiring to distributor as your pulse will come from that and the computer.

Look for any blown fuses or power wires that are missing. i will enclose a few wiring diagram that i think will help you in your testing . also here is the injector wiring diagram you requested for the 1992 nissan pick-up.

Have a good day and let me know if there is anything else you may need .3_4_2012_12_50_55_pm.gif3_4_2012_12_51_45_pm.gif3_4_2012_1_09_53_pm.gif

I need a FREE 1992 Toyota Camry taillight wiring diagram. My side rear park lights come on but my park lights that work with the brake lights don't. I changed the bulbs and tested everything. I narrowed it...

brown wire is your park LT yellow Left-turn green right-turn. Now the break light my be on it own wire it is red black is ground. but if you have a test light see if the brown wire turns on the test LT when you turn on the park LT or what wire light up when you step on the break pedal. and so on.

Brake lights will not turn off on my 94 Nissan Altima

Your problem should be that the rubber stops that are mounted at the top of your break pedal came out or are worn down too much to press the buttons all the way in.
What they do is push the button that switches off your break lights when the break pedal is released (yes, kind of backwards way to design it, i know). That's why your lights stay on even when your car is off. I had to go to the junkyard to find replacements for mine and they are a ***** to replace.
They are chipped away easily by the break switches when your car shakes badly over a prolonged period of time. Like driving a couple of weeks on a bad front tire.
