20003 VW Passat, 1.8t. Replaced front struts, but I still have rattle on some, but not all bumps. Could this be from control arms?

Absolutely!
This rattle noise is coming from one or more bad control arms (ball joints & bushes). You should carefully check all of them, then replace bad control arm(s). The best idea is to replace all of them = front suspension control arms kit.
Good Luck!

replace brake peddleswitch first, if that dont cure, replace the throttle peddle switch, and if that dont worrk replace the reverse switch on gear box and the forward detector switch for the hill desent. as for the oil warning light it can only be one of three things , ie low oil, bad wiring or switch and last the worst of all oil pump failure.

Fuel filter freelander (petrol)

The fuel fillter is in the but you shouldnt have to drop the tank to get to it or the pump. Lift the back seat and you will see a plate held in place with screews take this off. Below this is a steel plate that you will have to spin off may need help fro a hammer as they are tight. Some are badged BWM. This gets you to the fuel pump and the filter

hope it helps
