Question about 2000 Kia Sportage
Probley your throttle position sensor should have shown a code. try disconecting the pig tail and put it back tap on the side a little if theres any change to your problem then its probley the sensor .if your going to tinker aroud dont mess with the throttle set screw. leave it alone your throttle position sensor gets set from that screw wich the screw itself gets set while on the computer.also check to make sure the cable is okay and hooked to the throttle arm have your assistant press down the peddal as you hold the cable making sure the cable is not snapped if its not make sure the cable pulls the throttle arm back and forth .best i have to offer
