I have a 2005 chrysler 300 i replaced the transmission now am hearing a noise underneath sounds like the flywheel

Sounds like you didn't get the torque convertor all the way back into the transmissions gears. Was the flex plate (flywheel) tight against the torque convertor when you bolted it up ? There should have a been a space between the convertor and the flex plate. I made that mistake once and ruined a nearly new transmission.

Tour converter??

If the check engine light came on and the code was torque convertor they did not do you any favor,The torque convertor is the heart of the transmission, the cost as for part is twice your monthly payment. The torque convertor as for honda claims their recommended transmission fluid is not being used and causing torque convertor problem,Recheck the code get the number.

Trans fault comes up on dash bored check engine sing, rench as well reversing works good first gear takes awile dives off after biting the gear hard but good oil and sounds normal still work able? 2005...

Hard upshift, This is cause by one factor low transmission pressure this can come from internal leaks at valve body leak or even a internal leak at the torque convertor,or a transmission pump that cant feed the torque convertor properly

I have a Hyundai Sonate, manual transmission. Yesterday it started shaking really bad as I accellerated after shifting gears. No check engine lights are on. Any hint as to what could cause this. Thank you.

well if the check engine light didnt come on that mean theres no electric probelms --check all u- joints , if ****** doesnt shift hard or no whinning sound when u use clutch try that first, only thing let is torque convertor

My transmission is whining. It has gone from bad to worse. What could be wrong.

Most times when you hear a whinning from the transmission it is the torque convertor starting to fail. It is possible for it to be a front pump going bad but that is usually accompanied by leaking transmission fluid between the engine and transmission.

How to reove the torque covenrter form the transmission?

You have to remove the transmission from the vehicle, then unbolt the torque convertor from the flex plate. Once you remove the transmission you will see the torque convertor still bolted to the engine.(BIG ROUND THING)

Transmission light cod P0740

PO740 is a TCC/lockup code.TCC stands for Torque Convertor Clutch. In between the engine and transmission is a torque convertor.Inside the torque convertor is a clutch. This clutch engages to eliminate slippage inside the torque convertor. When a malfunction occurs in the system, which is activated by solenoids, and a computer,a TCC code will set. There is a diagnostic route specifically for that code,to determine if the malfunction is electrical, mechanical,or hydraulic.
