Holden Astra 2009 engine light on car cut out won't start what court be the problem

it is possible that if the engine just stopped that the timing belt has broken
If the mileage is over 100,000 klms and the belt has never been changed then it is a sure bet
next is the cam/crank position sensors are failing
next is the immobilizer has cut in
lastly the ignition control module has failed
check engine fuses as well

My daewoo lanos engine cutted off while driving

Make sure your timing belt is intact, that you have fuel pressure, and that you have spark. The 3 things and engine needs to run is spark, fuel, and compression, but they also need to happen at the right time.

I have an 03 kia optima lx my car will cut off while I'm driving. Can you please tell me what the problem is. I would very much appreciate your input on this matter

this is caused by the crankshaft position sensor located behind the timing belt. this sensor cuts off the power to the spark plug so the car won't start. it happened with my kia and then everything went fine!

I need to know how to fix my timing if it skipped a tooth i dont think anything is bent

double check all the belt timing marks and if it really has skipped a tooth you will have to release the belt tensioner, reposition the belt and re-tension it. you often get lucky if its out by just one tooth, but if it happened once it can happen again and cause real damage so don't drive it until its fixed, and make sure the tensioner is set and working correctly

How to change alternator belt on 98 mitsubishi galant es, i looked under the hood and a belt was shredded. i took it off and the car still started but when i cut the car off it wouldnt start back up, i...

Most likely what is happening is that either the fan/water pump is no longer being turned by the engine, which it needs the belt on for (Assuming it's a '98, not an '89), causing it to overheat, or the battery is being drained because the belt being off the alternator is causing the alternator to not turn, therefor producing no power. Make sure no shards of old belts remain, and put on the new belt. That should solve the problems.

Cuts out while driving with plenty of gas

possible fuel pump or filter, if the timing belt goes the car stops completely and will not start.

The fast indicator flash is odd and usually means a blown bulb, perhaps a bad eath cable from the battery

Driving along in a 2.0 VW Vento GL and the engine cut out and will not re-start timing belt IS ok but would appear that there is no spark the engine did not cough and splutter it just stoped

This situation recently happened to my girlfriend and it was the timing belt upon inspection all looked well but turning the engine over by hand found that the pulley grooving on the inside of the belt was peeled away. Also you may want to look at the alternator connections and verify they are in good shape.good luck.
