If you take the t-stat housing off and you have some bolt sticking up, you can use WD40 and a vise grip and work it back and forth to free it up and remove it. if it broke off flush or below the block you will need to centre punch it and drill out the centre of the bolt and use an easy out kit. Good kits will tell you what size to drill the hole dependant on bold size. You must be very careful not to drill off centre or go too deep and damage the engine block.

How do I take the bolt out of my ecm the bolt is stripped and broke Im trying to change the ecm and bolt

I think you mean the head of a bolt that opens the ECU can is stripped. The only way is to use an angle grinder (or maybe a Dremel tool with grinder/cutting wheel) to remove the head. Once it off, the remaining bolt can usually be removed with long nose pliers.

Broken spark plug coil bolt

If it is broken off below the surface you will have to try to drill it and use an easy out tool. And it may be frozen in the threads which is why it broke with you.

Bolt broke off inside side mount battery. how do i get it out

Go to the parts store & get a bolt/screw extractor.

It works by first drilling a small hole into the bolt you broke, then you screw the extracter, counter-clockwise into the bolt & it will back it out. Soak the broken bolt with lubricant/wd40 before trying to extract. Don't drill more than the depth of the bolt.

good luck.

Changing brakes

well, if you snapped one of the caliper bolts you still may be able to proceed, try sticking a screw driver through one of holes on the caliper above the pads and rotor and try to press outward so you compress the caliper piston, if you can compress it far enough you may be able to slide the caliper enough to get it past the broken bolt and remove it. for future reference you only need to remove 1 bolt to remove the caliper, the other bolt will pull the slider out.

once you have the caliper removed you should be able to just replace the slider and get a new bolt.
