Could be the sensors that control the motor.

SOURCE: cooling fan not coming on. 1985 chevy cavalier 2.0L

I'm not familiar with your exact car but a friend of mine had a similar problem the solution was to replace the electrical relay for the cooling fan. Consult a wiring diagram to see if there is a relay (there should be) and replace it.

The other possibility off the top of my head is a short in the wiring somewhere. Power the fan directly and ensure it works fine. If the fan is OK then the problem is likely in the wiring or wire connectors somewhere. That should help narrow down the problem. Good luck!

SOURCE: 2003 chevy cavalier cooling fan does not come on

Cooling system needs to be full, there is a sensor that sends a signal to the computer which will sends a signal back to the relay and of coarse the fan motor has to work.

SOURCE: fan motor for cooling rear of 2003 pilot not operating

Center console need not be removed. Right side kick panel needs to be popped out, exposing the fan motor assebly. There are 3 screws securing the assembly to the duct. Remove the screws using a flathead screwdriver, unplug the unit and pull it out. The challenge will be finding a replacement motor, as they are not sold anywhere other than the dealerships (at an outrageous price)

Where is the engine cooling fan switch on a 2002 cavliar

If your engine cooling fan motor is not working first check the maxi fuse
under the hood in the fuse box. If the fuse is burnt out then more that likely the cooling fan motor is drawing to much and will also need to be replaced.

1994 Chevy Cavalier fan won't come on

Sounds like the sensor is not reading the coolant temp, or the computer is not accepting the data from the sensor.
Its possible you have air in the cooling system, or you have a problem with the computer.

My colling fan fuse in my cavalier blows every time i tun on my ac or defrost or if im stoped for to long then my car over heats

Your secondary cooling fan motor is bad and needs to be replaced. When you turn on defroster or a/c this motor is commanded on by the computer to keep the engine cool under the extra load.

My electric fan wont come on.

First check the fuse, then check to see if the coolant level in the radiator is low, then if you can check the cooling fan relay, and the cooling fan motor to make sure it is good,if all this checks out fine, then replace the coolant sensor, and bleed the cooling system of all the air in it.

Cooling fan 98 cavalier inop

This system is controlled my the power control module. when you need it the system sets a ground to the system
you can run a ground to the blower motor and it should come on. but you will need to put some kind of switch on it to cut it off so it will not kill your battery or just replace the module.

Replace termostat in a 1998 chevy cavalier still run hot

Yes it does have a electric fan, mine went out on my 2003 and I just changed the electric motor itself. Autozone offered the entire fan with motor or they offered just the motor. I chose to replace the motor only because I knew the fan blades and housing was fine. I had to drop the fan down and take out the entire assembly from the bottom but overall the process was a 3 out of 10 on the difficulty.

Code p0480 need to know what exactly what i need to do i'm on a budget i have a 2003 base model cavalier

On the drivers side of the vehicle under the hood their is a fuse panel, consists of a 30amp fuse and a cooling fan relay both are cheap and i would start with replacing those first. If that doesnt work, you can power your fan directly to see if it comes on and the fan motors not burnt out but see if the fuse or relay works first.
