Question about 2002 BMW 3 Series

1 Answer

2002 BMW 325CI (convertible)power window on driver's side does not automatically go down slightly when the door is opened. I assume this is only on the convertible so the window clears the top. It normally lowers about 1/4" when the door is opened and raises back up when the door is closed.

My window on my vert was doing that. Short of opening up the door and trying to do it myself, I took it in to the BMW guys at Bimmerhaus. They readjusted the window for me and it was good to go. Pretty much cost 1 hour of labor and a couple of clamps. $100+ or thereabouts.

My drivers side window on my 325ci will not roll up. All other windows work properly..

Have you had the Battery disconnected recently and the window you are talking about was down ?

If yes, take off the Door Panel. There is a Plug, 2 wires, that powers the window, on the right side about 7 inches or so down from the the top of the Door.

Run a Hot wire to one of the Prongs and ground the other. If the window does not go up, reverse the wires. If the window goes uip, make sure it up all the way, plug the thing back in and test it. It should fix your Problem

The window track is worn. This is a plastic strip that runs through a gear on the motor and raises and lowers the window. replace it.
