Question about 1993 Dodge Grand Caravan
Your abs brake fluid pump has stopped working. It is located underneath the brake master cylinder / reservoir. There are two large brake fluid hoses that go from the reservoir to the pump under neath. Some times you can take a pipe (or metal rod) and a hammer, place the rod against the body of the pump and tap it a couple of times while the car motor is running. If it comes back to life you will hear the classic buzz of the ABS brakes as is builds up pressure. If it still does not work you will have to replace it . I got lucky and picked up a cheap one at the salvage yard for $10 . New or used expect to pay a lot more. It has one mounting bolt on the transmission, one multi-wire plug, and two brake fluid hoses with hollow bolts. Changing out the pump is not too bad. You do have to follow the instructions on top of the master cylinder reservoir to fill and bleed the system after the install.
