You could use an inductive timing light and put the probe around the spark plug wire, (other two leads to the pos. and neg. posts of the battery for power) to determine if there is spark through the spark plug wire to the spark plug.

The timing light will flash when it gets a sufficient spark detected in the wire.

You can pull each wire one at a time and check them and only while the plug wire is unplugged will the car run rough,if it runs rough with them all plugged in,then you have bad wires or bad plugs

Spark plugs misfire and intake vavle is open

I believe you have separate coil packs for each spark plugs, so replace the coil packs on 3 and 4 and all the spark plugs. Not sure about the sticking valve, but knock out first problem, then tackle 2nd problem.

I need to change the spark plugs on my 2006 Ford Fusion V6 3.0L. Do you have a diagram that shows where they are and the order in which they need to be changed? I can't seem to find this information...

No order, just do one at a time. on the engine there will be a valve cover on each side of the engine, below is a valve cover, the arrows are pointing to is the ignition coil packs, coil packs might have a plastic cover over them, if so remove cover, disconnect harness from coil, remove small bolt holding coil pack, pull up on coil, remove spark plug, do the same on other side of engine, don't forget to check spark plug gap, the spark plug gap is .050", hope this was very helpful.

2000 Sportage: where is the spark plugs located on a 2000 Kia Sp...

They are under the black plastic cover that is in the middle of your valve cover gasket. Remove the intake hose from the aluminum intake plenum on top of the valve cover and the silencer box against the firewall. Remove all the connectors from the sensors which should be 2 on the plenum and the 2 large vacuum hoses on the plenum. Then remove the 3 12mm bolts from the plenum at the throttle body and remove the plenum. You can reuse the throttle body gasket at the plenum so don't destroy it. All the other bolts are 10mm and use a screwdriver to loosen the clamps on the hose. The sensors have clips that you need to remove with a small screwdriver, then disconnect them. Remove the bolts on the cover and the cover. Then remove the bolts holding the coil packs down. Do one plug at a time. 2 of them are connected to the 2 plug wires and 2 are underneath the 2 coil packs. The connectors on the coil packs are fragile so remove them carefully. Reverse the steps to reinstall the plenum, etc.

How do i get to the spark plugs in a c200 1998 5door saloon?

Wrong model designation ali. It's either a c230 or a c280. The 4 cyl 230 spark plugs are located under the red cover on top of the engine. The plugs are down the center of the valve cover under this cover. The coils are on top of the plugs. Remove the cover, coils, and then the plugs. If it's a 280 v6 you have 2 plugs in each cyl. The arangement there is more conventional. The coils are bolter to the valve covers and have short wires to the plugs that are on the side of the motor just below the valve covers. Be careful removing the metal plug connectors. They will pull apart if you try and pull them loose by grabbing the wire. You need plug removal type pliers. Twist the metal end and pull like a mad man, repeat 11 more times! Good luck!

I believe that year had distributorless ignition, instead it uses a form of coil on plug ignition system.

If you open the hood, stand at the front of the vehicle. Look to the left side of the engine, around the bottom of the valve cover (The valve cover is where the oil fill cap is. The oil fill cap is on top of the valve cover), at the bottom of the valve cover on the left side you will see a series of humps. Those series of humps is the coil packs, the coil packs are all in one long piece held down by three or four bolts.

Take out those bolts, gently pry up at the ends of the coil pack and it will eventually come out. You'll see on the bottom side the spark plug boots are attached to the coil pack. After you get the ignition coil pack off, you will see the spark plugs under where the coil pack came from, the boots on the coil pack sit directly on the spark plugs.
