Nope the tumblers in the ignition cylender are worn and bent causing the key to be stuck. Ask any locksmith and they will agree
replace it with new lock cylinder

you cant do you have the key that is not working
if you do wrap a pieace of bare wire around the key and ignition that will start it

should have no advance at idle ignition timing is 5-7 degrees with the vacuum advance line plugged

How many chain links from camshaft sprocket mark to crankshaft sprocket mark on a 4G54

Click on the following free Link. It has the Timing Belt/Mark Diagrams you will need for your 1989 Mitsubishi Sigma.
You can count the number of notches on the Belt giving you the number of chain links between the Front and/or Rear Camshaft Marks to the Crankshaft Sprocket.

1999 lancer ignition barrel snapped off by thieves, tried to hotwire it but couldnt and now our car doesnt go...want to try to get help before paying hundreds to take it to a garage. HELP

hey there's a chip in your key which needs to be in the ignition for it to start. the best bet is to go to a car breakers and get a barrel and key off them or else try e bay

I know you don't want to hear this but you will have to have the ignition lock cylinder installed, did you loose the old key?

Hi I would suggest you ring the Automobile association, and see whether one of their mobile mechanics can solve your problem. extracting a car key from the barrel may be more difficult than it appears. He, the mobile man may have done it before and have the right tools for the problem.

Sounds like one spark plug is worn/ miss firing more than others, replace set x4 and try again.
