I have, nothing in the owners manual for it, and i checked all the fuses, they looked good, so if you know which fuse location, that would be great

SOURCE: Need to know where the fuse is for the Electronic

Chances are one or more resistors in the unit have come unsoldered from the board.

Easy fix if you have the resistors in the unit still, if not a quick trip to radio shack / local electronics store to get replacements.

This is a superDuty console that I did not too long ago.

F150online.com has a thread in the How To forum on the resistors for the F150 line, which is slightly different, and the resistors are a lower value than the SuperDuty version.

How do I find the fuse on an impala 2002 for the.outside temperature and compass

There are two fuses one in the right I/P junction block an one in the left I/P junction block ! The right is marked DK / RKE 10amp fuse. The left is marked A/C / CRUSE 10amp fuse ! I don't think these are the problem ! These fuses supply power to the microprocessor in the driver information center . According to my service information the microprocessor supply's power to the ambient air temperature sensor an to the compass.
This mode displays an 8 point compass heading on the left hand side of the DIC. The compass will display the current vehicle direction relative to one of 8 compass headings using N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, and NW for the readout. The ambient temperature displays on the right hand side of the DIC. If the ambient temperature is below 3?°C (37?°F), the temperature reading will toggle between displaying the outside temperature and the word ICE for two minutes. If the temperature is less than minus 40?°F for more than 2 seconds, OC will display. If the temperature is above 140?°F for more than 2 seconds, SC will be displayed. If OC or SC is displayed DTC's will be set. For compass calibration and compass magnetic variation adjustment refer to Electronic Compass Calibration .

How do i reset the compass on a 2006 dodge grand caravan

Hi Roger, I'm glad to help. Below is the procedure for resetting the compass on your vehicle.

COMPASS VARIATION ADJUSTMENT Compass variance, also known as magnetic declination, is the difference in angle between magnetic north and true geographic north. In some geographic locations, the difference between magnetic and geographic north is great enough to cause the compass to give false readings. If this problem occurs, the compass variance setting may need to be changed.
To set the compass variance:

1. Using the Variance Settings map, find your geographic location and note the zone number Figure 1.
22681.jpg Figure 1 - Variance Settings 2. Turn the ignition switch to the On position. If the compass/thermometer data is not currently being displayed, momentarily depress and release the C/T push button to reach the compass/thermometer display. 3. On Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) and Compass Mini-Trip Computer (CMTC) equipped vehicles depress the Reset push button and hold the button down until "VAR = XX" appears in the display. This takes about five seconds. On Compass Temperature Module (CT) equipped vehicles depress the C/T push button and US/M push button down until "VAR = XX" appears in the display. This takes about five seconds. 4. Release the push button(s). "VAR =XX " will remain in the display. "XX" equals the current variance zone setting. 5. On Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) and Compass Mini-Trip Computer (CMTC) equipped vehicles momentarily depress and release the STEP button to step through the zone numbers, until the zone number for your geographic location appears in the display. On Compass Temperature Module (CT) equipped vehicles depress the US/M push button to step through the zone numbers, until the zone number for your geographic location appears in the display. 6. On Electronic Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) and Compass Mini-Trip Computer (CMTC) equipped vehicles momentarily depress and release the RESET push button to enter the displayed zone number into the EVIC/CMTC module memory. On Compass Temperature Module (CT) equipped vehicles depress the C/T push button to enter the displayed zone number into the electronic module memory. 7. Confirm that the correct directions are now indicated by the compass.

The light on the electronic compass/temperature display went out. What do I need to do to get it to work? 2002 Ford Expedition XLT

I am looking into the fuse that controls this. Typically it controls several other components so if other components (for instance the radio, dome lights, gauge, etc) do not work then it is a fuse issue. More often than not, it is the computer module itself.
You can get a replacement from Ford but I believe it costs $500+.

Is there a fuse for the overhead compass/temp dispaly for a 2006 Toyota Tacoma and where is it located?

The 10 amp IGI #2 fuse controls several other components including the dome light, cruise control, and brake lights. If these are working but the compass is dim, intermittent, or dead then the control module has gone bad. You can get a replacement from toyota but I believe it costs $500+.
