Question about 2005 Jaguar S-Type

1 Answer

My 2005 Stype Air conditioner is not getting cold. I h had the car serviced and when I got it back the air conditioner didn't work and the thermostat was on celsius instead farenheit as if the dash had been tampered with during the service. I was told that possibly the "bin door" is closed which is keeping the hot air in the inside of the car or the dash should be reprogrammed. Please help!

The most likely cause is the dual control valve in the cooling system and/or the wiring to it. you can change the settings back to the origional settings using the touch screen or the dash switches . @ your model/year there was a factory fix which was about changing the servo motors on the climate control unit for that problem.you may need to take to a jag dealer. but first make sure the outside temp is reading ok on the dispay that can also cause that prob if its gone faulty

SOURCE: air con gas leaking & noises from under dash

Hi jrm the smoke under the wing is the fuel fired heater and is normal. the noise is the heater motors for the heater flaps, there is a jag fix but you have to replace all the motors just ignore it.  Try changeing the filter for the heater under the left side scuttle panel thats below the black plastic panel below the screen that will help the steaming up     D

I have a 2005 Impala. The windows fog up on the inside when it is cold outside or it is raining. They really fog up bad, to the point you can't see.

a fix for this is to run the ac
this although make it cold removes the moisture from the air inside the car and reduces the fogging up
if you have climate control run it or if not run the heater at the same time to take the edge of the cold
The air conditioner works by removing water vapor from the air through a condensation process there by making the air feel cooler
that restricts the moisture available to fog up the windows

Air conditioner

Check whether the warm air isn't going in with the cold air .Coolant line that runs into the firewall on the passenger side of the engine which is toward the bottom half of the firewall on the passenger side. If there is warm air going into the vents with the cold air then it blows warm air. You may have to shut it manually because it gets stuck sometime. Check it out.

My GMC Sierra's air conditioning works great but the driver side vents will spontaneousely start blasting out hot air. The passenger side continuse to blow cold air. If iI turn the truck off and...

  1. Air conditioner system is discharged. Have the system evacuated, charged and leak tested by an MVAC certified technician, utilizing approved recovery/recycling equipment. Repair as necessary.
  2. Air conditioner compressor clutch not engaging. Check compressor clutch wiring, electrical connections and compressor clutch, and repair or replace as necessary.

Air Conditioner Problem

the most common problem here is a defective air temperature control blend door actuator, this is what moves the door that controls air flow across the heater core or the ac evaporator core, to replace this requires u remove the dash assembly.

2005 Toyota Corolla air conditioner is cold but

The air flow does not 'increase' with the recirc button pressed. The fan motor blows at specific speeds, no matter whether fresh or recirc is selected. The recirc feature is there so that you do NOT admit 'fresh/hot' air from the outside into the AC box. In short, the recirc feature is to re-use, or, recirculate the existing air in the car. When it is properly working, on a hot day, the recirc selection should drop the internal temperature at the center air vent about 6 degrees lower than with the fresh selected.
