I have a nissan murano 2005 with the code p1701 and a p0340 how can i use them to repair these codes

Nissan Murano P0340 2005 Nissan Murano - Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit
Possible causes- Faulty Camshaft Position Sensor-
Camshaft Position Sensor harness is open or shorted- Camshaft Position Sensor circuit poor electrical connection- Faulty starter motor- Starting system circuit-
Dead (Weak) battery
P1701- Fuel trim

I would suggest replacing the camshaft position sensor. When the sensor fails it can cause changes in fuel system that the computer can detect. So I suspect once the camshaft sensor ivreplaced that the P1701 code will be gone.

Toyota corolla 2001 making noise as it reaches running temp.p1346 code

I think the engine is misfiring because of cam position sensor. These can be the possible causes :
- Faulty Intake Camshaft Position sensor
- Faulty Camshaft Position Solenoid Valve
- Engine mechanical condition - Valve timing off
- Intake Camshaft Position sensor harness is open or shorted
- Intake Camshaft Position sensor circuit poor electrical connection

Temp sensor

I'm not a 100% but it sounds like your camshaft position sensor went bad then caused the other codes to come up because the camshaft position sensor tells the computer how much gas it needs. So it started a chain reaction with the fuel level sensor, fuel temperature sensor, and knock sensor codes. The Fuel temp. sensor helps the engine to know how much fuel to inject as well depending on the temp. of the fuel. The fuel pressure sensor senses the amount of fuel in the fuel rail by reading the internal pressure of the rail, so that's what leads me to believe that it's your camshaft position sensor. Particularly if that was the first code that came up. Hope this helps you.

Camshaft position sensor correlation bank 1 code

timing belt is off by a tooth or two. you probably didn\'t have to replace the coolant sensor; that code sets whenever the sensor is disconnected and the ignition is turned on; and it needs to be reset by disconnecting the battery or with a code reader. anyway, the crank/ cam sensors are out of sync. if you\'ve got the twin cam engine, they are a royal pain to get the belt to lay properly on the two cams.

I changed out the MAP sensor, and the idle air sensor on my 2006 Ford Taurus. This was before I had the fault code read at a dealer. Code came back as P0340, and P0430 Band 2 cat worn out. I had the cam...

P0340 FORD - Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Bank 1 Sensor 1Possible causes- Faulty Camshaft Position Sensor
- Camshaft Position Sensor harness is open or shorted
- Camshaft Position Sensor circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty starter motor
- Starting system circuit
- Dead (Weak) battery
P0340 FORD Description The Camshaft Position Sensor is an electronic device used in an engine to record the rate at which the camshaft is spinning. This information is used by the Engine Control Module(ECM) to control ignition and fuel injection. The camshaft position sensor senses the retraction of camshaft (intake) to identify a particular cylinder. The camshaft position sensor senses the piston position. The sensor system consists of a rotating part, typically a disc, as well as a static part, the actual sensor.

When the engine is running, the high and low parts of the teeth cause the gap with the sensor to change. The changing gap causes the magnetic field near the sensor to change. The change in the magnetic field cause the voltage from the sensor to change.

When the crankshaft position sensor (POS) system becomes inoperative, the camshaft position sensor provides various controls of engine parts instead, utilizing timing of cylinder identification signals.

How do you check and change a camshaft position

The camshaft sensor wouldn't explain the clattering noise. But a timing chain would explain both. Clattering from a loose chain and the camshaft sensor code from when the chain broke and the camshafts stopped turning.

Engine turns over but won't start on my 1993 Volvo 850-GLT, Distributor not firing. Error code is 314 (Cam Positioning Sensor - faulty or missing)!

Use the shop manual locate its position on the camshaft check it for wear and voltage and any other checks the shop manual says to do.

obd 2 code p0340 on a chysler product is the crankshaft/camshaft sensor this sensor will in time loose its megnetic abilities and through a fault code
change it.. (remember to disconnect you battery before you start the job

I need a engine diagram to replace camshaft sensor

there is actually no camshaft sensor,,,it will set a code P0341 camshaft performance code but there is NO cam sensor,,,,it means secondary ignition is the fault,,,,,like old and worn spark plugs and wires, coil packs corroded, ignition module high resistance, coolant temp sensor bad, crank sensor going bad, those are all the possible reasons for that code,if the plugs and wires are old replace them FIRST also when you remove the wires from the coils make sure there is NO corrosion on the towers,if there is you need a new coil pack,,,,DO NOT use platinum spark plugs, this will cause this code to set, these cars are VERY sensitive to this,,,use regualr plugs like ac delco or ngk but no platinum,,,,,clear code and see if resets
