Follow the big fatter pipe out of the compressor and somewhere along its length from the pump to the firewall you will find it ,but be warned not all vehicles have a low pressure valve to start with ,i have had few of late without one and they can only be gassed through the high pressure ,follow the thicker pipe from compressor and it could be under the front wing like a ford focus behind the plastic inner wing ,but as stated not all vehicles have a low pressure port and as i havent worked on one of these as yet ?? But yes we do have them here in spain but mainly diesels with a manual box .Without a low pressure port i think you will have a job to fill it from a can but as these cans are not sold here i use my machine which isnt a problem with only a high pressure port .

Verify ambient temperature is above 65 degrees F.

1. Safety> - safety glasses, long sleeves and gloves, (exposure to refrigerant can cause frostbite).

2. Attach hoses to manifold> assembly, (hi, lo, and fill).

3. Remove caps from service ports, (Low press. Larger tube from evaporator to accumulator - passenger side over fender well; High Pressure - smaller tube from evaporator along firewall towards driver's side). Verify service> ports are clean.

4. Attach low press. and high press hoses to proper service ports.

5. Start car>, reset low refrig code, and turn ac on high and fan on high.

6. Read gauges and compare with chart provided with gauge set.

7. If low and high press readings are both low, then system needs recharge.

8. To recharge, attach fill hose to can of R134a and slowly open low press valve>, (NOT HIGH PRESS VALVE), until low press side reads 40 psi.

9. When flow stops and pressures stabilize close valves> and disconnect manifold from service ports and refrigerant can. Replace service port caps.

Does the 01 ford explorer have a oil pressure relief valve

Most generally there is a bypass valve in the oil filter base so that if the oil filter get plugged, the oil will go straight back to the oil pan, unfiltered. If you have low oil pressure, I would check the oil pump. Depending on weather the service has been done on regular basis, you could have more problems if the oil pump is bad. The first sign of low oil pressure would be valve lifter rattle. If you remove the oil pressure sensor, install a guage and check the pressure manually. This would be a way to know for sure what the oil pressure is. If the pressure is between 40 to 60lb your sensor is bad.

Can't find where to put the freon in my Audi 96 A6 quattro?

1996 Audi A6 Quattro

Note:
Only a high pressure service valve is used for A/C system servicing. A low pressure service valve is not installed. Perform all A/C system service (ie. discharging, evacuating and charging) through the high pressure service valve only.

Where is the connection for the gages to put in freon

The high-pressure service gauge port valve is located on the A/C manifold and tube.

The low pressure service gauge port valve is located on the suction accumulator/drier

They will have caps over them that unscrew.

If your doing this with an over the counter tool you need to connect to the low side.

Hope this helped.

Hi I bought a used volve about 6 months ago. Lately when I use the ac the far left vent blows out warm air and it also is not blowing out as cold of air as it used to. I was going to add some more freon...

> I was going to add some more freon and the gauge that came with the can does not fit the valve. There are normally two valves on the AC lines; one is the low-pressure valve (inlet to the compressor), the other is a high pressure line leaving the compressor and going into the exchanger. The low pressure valve is the point at which Freon is added and pressure is measured with a single valve. The high pressure valve is customarily used only by service personal to determine compressor performance and should never be used to recharge the system; they are intentionally different to avoid rupturing the the Freon container. Trace all of the lines to be sure if you have found the right one to use for recharging and measuring the 'low' pressure side.

Well tanny fluid is dirty and it shifts into low gear and jerks alittle when driving

Service the transmission, replace the transmission fluid and filter, and have them check the transmission fluid line pressure. Base pressure at idle in P,N,OD should be around 70psi and around 140psi in R. Max line pressure should be at least 190psi at WOT in 1st or 2nd, 225psi is optimum. If base pressure is low, trans or pump is worn out. If max pressure is low, check EPC solenoid. If reverse is slow to engage, and line pressure does not come up to at least 130psi in reverse, replace the boost valve with a Transgo 0.490" or 0.500" boost valve (easy fix in pan). the boost valve is only an extra $45.00 part and should be replaced every second transmission service. Service is every 60,000 miles. Good luck and this should help address you transmission issues. At worst the EPC valve is sticking due to the dirty fluid and may need to be replaced too which is an easy fix when the transmission is serviced.

I cannot locate the low end valve on my ford focus 2003 zx3 for the air conditioner. there is one valve in front of the radiator but the connection valve does not fit. Is that the high end valve or do I...

the low pressure valve is the longer skinnier one. The low pressure valve should be on the fatter of the hoses in the engine compatrtment. Try close to the compressor. if you stil cannot locate it i can check my service manuals or the exact location.
