It's possible that you are trying to connect to the High pressure side of the a/c. You need to connect to the Low side connector. The connections look the same, but are different.

My 2005 Chrysler Town & Country 3.8 Liter AC is not blowing cold air. I would like to try recharging with one of the R-134 kits. Is the low pressure port that I would need to attach the R-134 canister...

the hose fitting that you attach to the low side port will only fit that port-it cannot fit the high side (that port is too big) so you cannot do this wrong. The low (suction) side is between the compressor and the evaporator (passenger compartment, usually in the heater core plenium.)

Where to self charge a/c unit?

Before attempting this make SURE your vehicle is running R-134 coolant. If it is running R-12, you will have to have this done by a professional. DO NOT attempt to mix R-12 and R-134 coolants, as this mix will become volatile and could possibly explode and cause massive system damage. You can find out what type you are running by looking for a ( usually yellow) decal on top of the A/C compressor or on top of the air accumulator ( the silver soda can looking thing.) Once you confirm you are running R-134, trace your A/C lines back from the compressor until you find two nipples, one large and one small. The large one is your "low side." This is where you will attach the recharge kit to service your system. The recharge kits are designed to only fit on the low side, so you won't have to worry much about confusing the two. Hope this helps you out. Have a good day!

Where is the low side service port on a 88 caravan? Putting R-134A in

TAKE VECHICLE TO A GARAGE THAT DO AIR CONDITIONER WORK BECAUSE 1988 MODEL MORE LIKE HAS R-12 FREON. THAT WONT MIX WITH R - 134 REFRIGERANT THAT WOULD DAMAGE YOUR AC SYSTEM.

LOW PRESSURE PORT HAS A BLUE CAP ON IT.MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING REFRIGERANT R-134 BLUE CHARGE HOSE.R-12 CHARGING HOSE WILL NOT FIT R-134 SYSTEMS.SEE YOUR CAR HAS R-134 REFRIGERANT SYSTEM. THE EARLY 90S CARS HAVE R-12 REFRIGERANT SYSTEM.YOU NEED R-134 CHARGE HOSE SET.

What do I need to replace to convert my ac to r134a on a 88 chevy s-10 blazer

need to have the a/c system evacuated and flushed out with the appropriate cleaner.Replace the orifice tube and drier, and purchase a retrofit kit at any parts house. Recharge system with appropriate amount of oil charge and freon. It will take less R134a than it did R12.

How to swap r-12 to 134

First thing you need to do is find someplace that will recover the old R-12 and vacume the system, vacuming the system is not that important as i have done some with no problem but recovering the old R-12 is ( E.P.A.), than after that you can go to wal-mart and buy the kit witch has everything you need to charge it to the new 134.

Will I be able to put r-134a refrigerant frion in a 1992 acura vigor

I'm not sure if the system on that car is 134a or R12. There should be a decal under the hood that will tell you which one you are currently running, or on the compressor if it is easily visible. If it is an r12 system, you will have to buy a retrofit kit that converts the charge fittings to take 134a, as they are different size fittings.

1995 olds 6cyl r-12 or 134 a/c coolant ?

They could be either way in 95. Look at the fittings where you charge the A/C. if they are threaded on the outside it is a R-12 system. If they are round and not threaded then it is a 134-A system. Good Luck
