The vacuum motor in the blend door is not working right. May have to replace the blend door motor or check for vacuum hoses working themselves loose from the actuator.

there is a vacuum can under the hood and if that is not hooked up or has a leak there is no vacuum reserve for the vent control valves so they go bad to a fail safe position

Is it a new vehicle? I had a new vehicle that had the same problem. Answer was that the holes weren't punched out of the vent.
