My 98 Regal Service Engine Soon light comes on when in traffic or the A/C is on. It will then stall at idle. After driving normal for awhile it resets.

The IACV (Idle Air Control Valve) could be dirty or not functioning correctly as the A/C should make it open up a little bit to let more air and subsequently more gas through the injectors to compensate for the load on the engine by the a/c compressor.

Lately my BMW Z3 Roadster will stall at traffic lights. It has even stalled when I am driving very slow. Sometimes the engine shudders when idle. I have also experienced the engine stalling for a second...

What have you checked, if anything? Have you noticed anything strange about idling (higher or lower than normal)? It could be many things, from something as simple as a dirty air filter, not allowing in enough air to the engine, to something wrong with the fuel pump. A vacuum leak is another possibility.

1996 buick regal over heating

Hi,
This sounds normal to me..... Except "runs to hot when idling"

When you're driving about (airflow over rad) all seems fine, but when sat in traffic idling - the fans come on to cool. Is the problem that even with the fans running, temperature still goes up - and fans never turn off again?

Is this the problem?

If it is, then the coolant pump may be badly corroded, not driving efficiently, or the coolant needs flushing and replacing.
