Question about 1991 Chrysler New Yorker

1 Answer

Have a 1991 chrysler (fifth avenue) new yorker and can't disarm the alarm to make the car start. My grandson thought he had disarmed the drivers door back in 10-25-2009 as it no longer beeps, flashes the lights in front for the 18 min nor the other 3 miniutes and that little light will not blink on at the dash. However, the other day I got into the car and it would not stay started the battery was not dead but it would not stay started. It was as if and acted just like the alarm had been activated.

1-Lock the doors from inside using the power button (as normally you lock your doors when leaving your car)
2-Now open your doors from outside using the key
This should solve the problem

You can arm or disarm alarm manually with the key at the drivers side door, turn the key to open the locks and the alarm must be disarmed.

How do you reset an alarm for a 1994 chrysler new yorker

there is no manual reset other than locking and unlocking the passenger or driver door with a key. the alarm is also disarmed each time the ignition key is turn to run, if u are locked out and have tried these methods to disarm the security system them there is a problem and the dealer must scan the Body Control Module (BCM) to determine what that might be.

1991 Chrysler New Yorker, FIFTH AVENUE. Power Antenna stuck.

sound's like the motor is bad if you have someone turn it on as you stand by to hear the motor kick on would be the best way to know. if it is a good motor it is off track if that's the case turn it on and try to get it with a pair of needle noise pliars and pull it out.
