Look down next to your accelerator pedal, just to the right, back up toward the firewall see a small round black cannister, this is a vacuum actuator, check to see if it is fully connceted to the vacuum lines coming to the back of it, this was the problem with my truck. Hope this helps.

2003 ford expedition i just got it a week ago and the front heat works great but the back vents only blow cold air. How do i fix this?

With the car parked and engine idling, turn the ventilation control between windshield defroster and "open air ducts" to front and rear vents. Listen to pinpoint where the valves are that open and closes the air ducts. It sounds like the air duct to rear vents are blocked, and the cold air in rear air duct is coming from "outside ventilation." The air vent to allow hot air to the rear vent is stuck in "open ventilation" mode, like when you're driving in spring or summer months.

204 ford explorer ac will not blow out of frount vents

If the air comes out the other vents, look for a stuck or faulty blend door in the HVAC box under the dash.

My 2003 Ford Expedition a/c blows out the defrost vents and will not blow out the dash vents

The vacuum motor is not operating right due to a loose vacuum tube, ore electrical connection or the logic is bad in the climate control electronics. The vacuum motor controls the door angle which controls whether the a/c blows out of the front vents or the defrost vents.

When i accelerate air stops blowing thru my vents why is that? why does my egr not have suction coming to it?

you have a vaccuum leak at the engine which disables your a/c vents causing your blend air doors to close

My husband needs to know if there is a fuse that could fail and make the rear air conditioner blow hot air.

no....This is the rear A/C & heater actuator blend door malf/broken. This is very common on expeditions and I encountered the same issue in my 2006 expy. This door switches from hot to cold vents, once stuck only hot air will blow. Also, is there any thumping or tapping noises from the right rear panel (this is where the rear a/c unit is)???

When i use the normal A/C Or Max A/C, cold air comes out like normal. When I turn to floor or panel/floor, it seems like the a/c is still blowing. Am I missing something here? Isn't there a fresh air vent...

could have a vent not opening properly. be sure nothing has fallen down defrost vent. as you change positions on dial should change where air comes out.

My 2003 EB had the same issue, until I took it to my local dealer. There is a TSB that calls for this part to be replaced. You need the following part number: 2L1Z19C828AA - HOS ASY-A/C VAC
