Try changing to a higher viscosity oil, like a straight 40 grade. This might help for a while but it is only a temporary fix. It sounds like the main bearings or oil pump might be defective or just worn out.

I have 199 Plymouth voyager I don't no which fuse

The oil light is not fused by itself, the fuse that runs it runs all the lights and gauges. Let me get this straight, you are driving this with an oil pressure warning on??? Find the problem and fix it before you possibly damage the engine ands have a $3500 repair bill.

Our oil pressure light keeps coming on when the car is idleing. Every thing is fine though with the pressure, so I'm assuming the sensor is bad. is there a way to remove that sensor?? The dinging sounds...

it sounds like the oil pressure sending unit. it located a few inches from the oil filter. only takes a few minutes. the part is cheap, like 10 0r 20 dollars. maybe less.

Oil pressure guage dropped to 5 after an oil change in my pontiac bonneville gxp 2005

Did it stay there? If so, put a pressure gauge on the engine, to check the actual pressure and then you will be able to tell if it is just the sending unit/pressure sw , that is off.

Engine dies while moving

when it dies try spraying the crank sensor with brake cleaner to cool it down if it starts right back up then replace the sensor....... ALSO These cars are known for bad ground wires.....remove the kick panel on the drivers side pull the carpet back there is a thin black piece if plastic with a bunch of black wires going to it pull it apart and clean the metal piece inside with sand paper apply electrical contact grease put it back together this ground causes many problems

Low oil pressure gage fluctuates and the dinging sound from the dash is driving me crazy

First thing you need to do is put a mechanical gauge on it and read actual pressure. If OK, change the sending unit.

I changed the left front wheel bearing on my 2000 Bonneville. Took it for test drive and the oil pressure dropped to zero. I ran it until I heard the lifters. What did I do? Could I have damaged the oil...

First thing you need to do is get under there and see where it's leaking from. (can't fix it if you don't know what you are fixing) When oil pressure drops to "0" you are supposed to shut it off and find out why, otherwise, it can cost you an engine. Three places I'd immediately look for damage is the oil pan, filter and pressure sending unit, all of which will cause rapid oil loss if damaged. Do not run the engine 'till fixed!!! Unless you fill oil and monitor level while checking for leak..
