Question about 2003 Pontiac Sunfire

1 Answer

Hello, I have recently purchased a 2003 Pontiac SUnfire, under dire circumstances. The vehicle had previously been in a front end collision and has been rebuilt. I?m unable to locate any type of vehicle manual. The radio has a LOC code on it and I?m unsure how to go about fixing that. I was in hopes there may be a reset or fuse that can be replaced. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide. Laura Hughes

You will need to get the code for the radio from the dealer.

My 2003 sunfire has no serpantine belt diagram

hello bert... that diagram is usually on a sticker under the hood, though sometimes on the front engine brace, or even on a small plastic tab directly covering the belt. If for some reason a belt-routing diagram is not present in the motor cavity, create your own diagram by drawing circles for the pulleys and how the belt routes around them.

Just in case it isn't there, here is the diagram:

How do you remove fog light bulbs on a 2003 Pontiac sunfire??

Crawl under front of car or remove headlamp capsule (2) bolts and reach on from above. Socket twists out counterclockwise. Do not touch the glass part of the bulb when taking out of package and installing new bulb.

Where is the timing belt/chain located on a 2003 Pontiac Sunfire, also where is the water pump, valves and t sensors, located in the car as wekk thanks.

I recommend you get the Haynes repair manual on your vehicle for all of these. That will tell you not only where they are but how to check, adjust or replace them if needed. The timing belt is normally located on the front of the motor under a cover, the vales are located under the valve covers on each side of the motor, or top of the motor in a 4 cylinder, and the temp sensor location will depend on which engine you actually have installed in the vehicle.

Both headlights went out. High beams still work. Fuses seem fine. What next?

Hello. the problem is with the wiring harness to the front headlights. the lt blue wire breaks on this vehicle quite often. the left front fender well has to removed to repair. you might want to check with your local dealer, there was a recall on some of these vehicles for this problem.

here is the recall number 03029
