Speedometer won't work at all.

If the speedometer and odometer are both dead, the problem is usually the speed sensor in the transmission.
If only the speedometer is dead, the speedometer and cluster may have to be repaired or replaced.

Replaced speed sensor but spedommeter not working

The needle in the speedometer is moved by a tiny eklectric motor, that mtor is likely defective, remove the speedometer and sent it out for repair. Google the problem like this "speedometer repair for (make of car)"

My speedometer is not working properly

Sounds like a bad speedometer sensor. Usually located on the transmission. The only way to fix the speedometer is to replace the sensor.

THE SPEEDOMETER STOPS WORKING WHEN IT GETS HOT ON MY 2004 TRAIL BLAZER THANKS.

If everything else works ok, the vehicle drives normally, and all the other gauges are working then you may have a bad speedometer servo motor. This servo is what actually moves the speedometer needle to match the speed you are driving at. The cluster would need to come out and be repaired to fix this problem if this is the case.

Got a 97 mustang gt with a speedometer problem. everything works except the milege meters. Do have replace the whole speedometer cluster to fix it.

the speedometer odometer can be repaired, so a new unit is not required, contact your local Ford dealer to see who they use for Speedo repair, they don't do it at the shop.

My speedometer keeps jumpin to zero then it will come back to normal then it will do it again and sometimes stay on zero for a long time until service engine light comes on

The mechanic should check the speedometer because of it is malfunctioning .And also the speedometer cable . If the speedometer is worn out or destroyed then replace it but if malfunctioning and can be repaired then repair it.The speedometer cable if it is disconnected then reconnect it but if cut or destroyed replace it.The service engine light will light on because of there is a problem in the service part of the engine.

Speedometor went out.

The mechanic should check the if it is worn out or destroyed . if worn out or destroyed it should be replace. You have to check the speedometer cable if it is still connected if not reconnect the speedometer cable.Because of the speedometer cable is disconnected then the speedometer will run out or it will not work. But then if the cable is connected and it don't run then the speedometer is worn out or destroyed that's why you have to replace it or repair it.
