Question about Chevrolet Camaro
If your going to work on it yourself ,get a do it yourself repair manuel.haynes chilton etc. try half priced books first then advanced auto or auto zone .when you have the code read for free at auto parts store you should get a print out of troble shooting tips to help you track down the problem such as electrical short could be the pig tail connection needs cleaned or the throttle position sensor is bad or not set correctly.suggest unhooking cleaning with some electrical parts wash (spray) try starting the car with the pig tail off , try starting with it re-attached. also you have something that might be called an idle air adjustment valve it could be stucktry covering the opening to the throttle body graduly alow a small opening .(you are manuely chocking ) in the event that the idle air valve is not doing its job. a word of caution dont mess with the throttle stop screw . while your troble shooting..... best i have to offer good luck
