Question about 1995 Chevrolet Suburban

1 Answer

95 Chevy Surburban. Air conditioning issue, front air blows warm, rear unit blows cold. Have replaced orface 3 times, replaced compressor 3 times, replaced accumulator 2 times, flushed condensor, replaced control head in dash, replaced rear expansion valve, flushed all existing piping, replaced fan clutch, replaced radiator with heavy duty unit, over 90 degrees outside temp you have to roll the windows down. If you answer this correctly you are a genius and will save me from burning it. Thanks in advance for your time.

Where is the front air conditioning drain line located on a 2002 Tahoe? It's not dripping anymore and the air is blowing warm even after recharging with coolant. The rear drain gets clogged or stuck and I...

The drain line should be under the floor pan just about below where the passengers feet would be. You should see a short piece of hose hanging down near the frame rail by the firewall.
However, if your air is blowing warm air, there will be no condensation dripping anyway, because your evaporator is not cold. Unless of course the problem is in your plenum mixing door.
It sounds like you have a a/c issue, i.e : servicing, compressor clutch, etc. rather than a condensation drain issue.

I believe there is a expansion valve located on the back part of the air conditioner on the back right side i believe that could be the problem. I think if I am understanding you correctly, your back air is not as cool as it should be or not cold at all. Might want to check this. If I am not understanding you correctly please let me know again what your problem is.

1996 Chevy Tahoe air conditioning not blowing cold air

That "thing" is part of the compressor clutch. When it’s spinning the clutch is engaged, when it stops the compressor is off. If it’s constantly cycling, you probably don’t have enough freon in the system. But remember, however the gas escaped before, it will escape again, unless you fix the leak.
