{: ) A faulty fuel level sensor is most likely. But you must rule out first if theres' any problem with the gauge itself, like a stuck needle. A scan tool can command the cluster gauge to move at full sweep, effectively ruling out problem with the gauge. Without scan tool you can only approximate your judgement, like when you turn on your igniton, did the pointer move from fully down up to the Empty scale? Or did the needle never ever moved even a little?

Gas guage doen't work

HI,
It's probably WATER coming out of the exhaust as that's the result of the engine running...not a problem.

Gas gauge is separate from the pump....usually. It could be a fuse (look in the Owner's Manual for fuse location) or the fuel 'sender' which is what measures the fuel level. This is usually IN the fuel tank. Sorry I don't know where it is on your Rodeo..

Search online - Google it - for fuel sender. Remember, your Rodeo is the same as the Honda Passport for the '94-2002 model years so search under the Passport too.

Gas guage needle works sometimes other times the guage will read far pst the full mark

You more than likely have a bad fuel level sensor. You should be able to replace just the level sensor without replacing the complete fuel pump module.Hope this helps.Good luck.

My gas guage dont work. how do u fix it?

when the gas gauge does not work it is usaully the sending unit or the fuel sensor. in since its mostly the fuel sensor you will have to replace the fuel pump because i dont think they sell a fuel sensor sepretly if they do then just buy the fuel sensor.

I'm getting terrible mpg. The gas guage not always accurate.

Take it to Autozone or O'reillys for a free diagnostic. You might want to disconnect the battery for 10 minutes and see if the warnings go away.

Fuel guage-1991 ford aerostar

2 things.
There is a sensor that goes from the dash to the fuel pump. If it is disconnected, dirty, or faulty, then thats an easy fix.
There is also a float in the gas tank itself. From what Ive been told after time, or going over big speed bumps, etc, that the float just simply doesnt float or register.
Mine actually shows I have a full tank or im empty at all times. No in between.

Gas gauge not working property

Pontiac has a problem with the sender for the fuel guage. A quart of transmission fluid in a full tank of gas usually fixes it. The "engine" light, won't be on because of that. Quite often that is the air filter or fuel cap.
