They (one in each cylinder block bank) are behind all the pulleys and brackets on the passenger side of the engine.

Freeze plug location front of chevy 5.3 liter engine diag

Hello Richard,

There doesn't appear to be a freeze plug on the front of the block.
They are always located on the lower sides of the block.

If you can see water on the front of the engine do a visual inspection when the motor is off and cold.

Take a rag and dry off any noticeable moisture. Start the engine and let it warm up, carefully check all the areas listed below to see if you can isolate the leak.

The radiator could be leaking and dispersing coolant towards the motor while driving the car. A hose or fitting could be leaking. The intake manifold or thermostat gasket could be leaking. The water pump could be leaking at higher RPM's.

Where is the freeze plug location on 1997 chevy 3/4 ton 2500

ther are a number of freeze plugs on that motor , if I remember there are 2 on each side and 2 in the front , pressure test it , you should find your leak then are you sure it is coming from the water pump the water goosneck is right on top of the manifold in the front , those are the only 2 things that can leak unless it is a head gasket on the outside which will not affect anything ,very rare but I have seen it , no hole in the heater hose or bad clamp crack somewhere , pressure test it, you should find it then good luck

Where are the freeze plugs located 3.4 Ltr engine?

They are located along the side of the engine block. with the engine in the vehicle they are below the exhaust manifold on the engine block. May be easier to view them from underneath.

Where are the freeze plugs located on my 1993 chrysler lebaron v6

Hi Delaina, I'm glad to help! Freeze plugs are located in the engine block in various places. Along both sides of the block, some behind the starter, some behind the motor mounts. There are also freeze plugs in the front of the engine block and some engine also have them in the cylinder heads. There are also freeze plugs at the rear of the engine block behind the transmission. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Delaina!

there are three freeze plugs on each side of motor on the block. if you look above the oil pan from the bottom you can see them. I think it is probably the water pump. this would leak at the front of engine by the heads

Water leaking bad from front of motor.

freeze plugs will be located towards bottom of the engine. It could be the water pump, or a bad hose.
