When you turn on hazards and flashers, do the lights at least come on. First check fuses be sure that they are good. Then check for the flasher relay. The flasher relay will usually be near the driver kick panel. I believe in this vehicle it will be a three prong relay. Good Luck.

Why did you say it will probably be a three prong relay? What else would it be? Two? Why would one be two and one be three? Does a three prong do more than one thing, such as being a flasher for both the hazards and the turn signals? Instead of one for each? Let me know please!?

what if you turn the signals and they dont work but dont blow a fuse, then when you hit the hazzard switch the fuse blows? would it be the switch or the relay?

I have a 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe.By me the hazard and blinker lights would work sometimes then not work at all.The flasher is to the left of the fuse box, very hard to get to, you need to get on your knees, i had to pull out both blue relay switches from the bottom of the fuse box to get to it,don`t worry the blue relay switches can only go back in only one direction if it doesn`t line up, rotate the blue relay switches untill they line up then push in gently till they are snug , i took a flashlight and saw the flasher, there is a clip on top and on bottom of the flasher that need to be pressed to release it, i did one at a time because both of them are hard to squeeze at the same time, once the clips are released pull out the flasher it is a 3 prong flasher and can only be inserted one way, i also removed the dash panel, there are 3 screws that hold it in place, pull on it but be careful there are clips holding it in place that can break. The rotate knob might hang loose after you pull the dash just make sure you put it back. The raised lettering goes to the right when inserting it,don`t get upset it will fall a few times you need both hands to reinsert it hope this helps Jay

How do you check the turn signal relay after locating and removing it? It's not like a fuse where you can see it's broken right? I replaced my battery (because the old one literally just died and was not coming back with a jump) and, after doing so, I have no turn signals or hazards (and a couple other not-super-important right now things like power to sunroof, clock, etc). I had a few blown fuses in the interior fuse box and decided to replace all fuses in that box (all looked corroded and what not). Still no TSigs or hazards.. The blinkers and hazards appear on my interior dash like normal, except blink super super fast. They just don't show on the outside of the vehicle. All bulbs are good, as well. I think checking the relay would be the next step? And if not the relay then....? A shortage somewhere? Since the items in question have no direct relation (i.e. Sunroof, clock, signals, hazards), and the fuses are all replaced, I think it could be the relays and/or multiple shortages? Any thoughts or help would be GREATLY appreciated, as I am trying NOT to spend a fortune of diagnosis at a shop unless absolutely necessary b/c of much $$ I spent on having to get towed out of the middle of nowhere, new battery, etc. TIA :)

The turn and 4 way are seperate, turn on the 4 way and follow the sound, it will be near the steering column.

SOURCE: turn signal and hazards wont work

Do you have a trailer wiring harness? If you do, recheck the wiring there. If that doesn't help and you have properly checked the flashers then you need to check each bulb

Can,t get signal or flashers to work on 1997 Dodge Intrepid

I assume you've checked the Fuses :p Obviously that hasnt worked and the bulbs and lights haven't worked either... SO try this????
Open the driver's side door and examine the end of the dash for an access panel. Behind the access panel are fuses and flashers. There are two flashers inside the access panel for controlling the turn signal and the hazard lights. You can distinguish them apart from each other by turning on the hazards or the turn signal and feeling for the clicking. If you turned on the hazards, then the flasher that is clicking is the hazard flasher.
Remove the turn signal flasher from the dash and reinstall the new flasher into the vacated slot in the dash. Close the access panel and start thetruck . Check the turn signals for proper operation and make sure the hazards work as well.

Please let me know how it goes

I bought a 1995 truck and the brake lights aren't working I noticed ythat the hazzard light switch is busted up could that be the source of my problem

Check the fuses. And check for power at the taillights (These taillights have circuit boards on the back side that can go bad.) I don't think the hazard switch is it because the brakes would still work. Also check the brake pedal switch. There is a hazard flasher, does the hazards work?

My 2000 cavalier signal lights stopped working all together....both directions. the hazards still work, but i cant get my left and right turn signals to work.

Probably the flasher, as I think you have a separate flasher for the turn signals under the dash above the brake pedal. It is probably next to the hazard flasher. If you can't find it, turn the hazards on and follow the sound. The turn flasher is probably next to the hazard flasher. Please let me know if this isn't the problem or you have more questions.

Grand cherokee 2001 flashers dont work but hazards do...v odd??

The hazards and the flashers are on seperate circuits. When the flashers are working properly you will hear a clicking during operation. If not, check all the bulbs. If both flashers don't work it may be a blown fuse, faulty flasher unit or a loose wire or connection.Probably the flasher unit.Make sure the new one is the same as the old one by comparing the two,On yours, its a combination flasher and hazard unit.It will need to be replaced.its small and cost is minimal. When you do replace the unit, disconnect the neg. cable from the battery. The unit relay may be blue in color.Hope this helps

My hazards in my 1997 camaro rs work, but the back and front turn signals dont. The lights for the signals dont work in the dash either, just the lights for the hazards

check the signal flasher ( little silver or colored can in fuse panel or under dash. 4 ways have 1 flasher and the signals have a seperate flasher. Put hazards on to hear click, to determine which flasher is which. Hope this helps
