Have you checked the bulbs? There are individual fuses for each headlamp so you'll want to check those also. they are in the battery junction box which is under the hood on the driver's side, fuse 29 is for the right headlamp and fuse 34 is for the left headlamp.

My headlamp switch light does not light up on my 2006 Ford Explorer is there a fuse for the switch

if its just the switch light not working there is no separate fuse for it as it uses the same fuse as the dash lights. it could be the bulb in the switch.

1996 ford explorer and the lights wont go off when i turn off the engine remove the key and turn the light switch to off. I have to remove the battery every time I stop the negine. I think it has something...

Are you talking about headlamps? If you pull fuse 11--20 amp, underhood fuse box, do the headlamps go off? Right now, I'm thinking something wrong with head lamp switch. Maybe the wiring connector has a problem or circuit is shorted to voltage. With the headlamp switch in the off position, there should no voltage for headlamps. As you can see, that fuse I mentioned is hot all the time. Just my opinion.
