For back up lights no pump, only switch, if stander transmission back up light switch cost about $40.00, for automatic transmission, the neutral safety switch is also what works the back up lights, this switch cost about $95.00.To remove and replace one of these parts and you would only need one of them, labor is .6 tenths of an hour X there labor rate = your labor cost.Hope this was very helpful.

I'm afraid that someone is yanking your chain..."reverselight pump"?? You have a light bulb on both of your tail lights for "reverse". These are powered via a contact that is at your gear shift. I would check your light bulbs first (your backup lamps should be type 3156K), and if they are good, then I would start checking the electrical signal to them (same fuse drives your instrument cluster and turn signals).
