Where is the fuse that powers the radio located in the fuse box on a 85 mercury cougar

It should be in the fuse box under the hood,but you may find another fuse box under the dash as well, some radios have a line fuse in the power wire to the radio,you might have to take the radio out to get to it ,but check the other fuses first.....hope this helps .....cheers

Fuse for radio


the fuse for the radio should be in the fuse box under the hood or around the dash area, some radios have a line fuse in the power wire to the radio,you may have to pull the radio out to check....hope this helps.....cheers

Turn signal stopped working 1990 Mercury Cougar


I had the same problem and the flasher is not located in the fuse box because it is not a normal flasher. the cougar has an electronic flasher unit that is located on the left side of the center console. the best and cheapest place to order a new one is amazon.com. they run about $30-$40

2000 Mercury Cougar Power door locks do not work on either door


Power door locks are on the same fuse as the alarm system. The fuse is located in the passenger compartment fuse panel under the steering wheel. There is a pull down lever that will release the fuse box. The fuse for the alarm system/locking system is #25. Yellow color and a 20 ampere rating.

The passenger compartment fuse panel is located on the driver's side under the instrument panel.

The power distribution box is located on the driver's side of the engine compartment.
