I know it sounds redundant but, please replace your radiator reservoir cap;
they tend to wear out and, without extreme pressure that they provide to
modern engine systems the coolant boils. (you don't even see it leaving the coolant system as wispy steam as you drive. the physics are: more pressure higher boiling point.
this why modern cars can have much smaller radiators and, use auxilliary electric sensor
controlled fans.

Check your fuses. If they are ok check your themo sensor. If you disconnect the plug on the thermo sensor ,with ignition switched on, the fan should start.

My 2003 dodge durango keeps overheating , i just had new radiator put in and it started overheating again but now it is overheating with a very loud screeching noise like a belt sound what could be ca

as for noise will have to inspect under hood,could be fan or belt or pulley ,water pump .these are some things it could...My suggestion for overheating is replace thermostat. If your car has electric cooling fan then it may not be working..turn defrost on and if fan kicks on then fan motor is good..Now this does not mean that fan is working properly because fan is controlled by heat sensor switch that kicks fan on when motor reaches heat range......Things i would have checked....hope this information helps and good luck and Please rate my post...

It is possible that the pump failed because of an overheating problem. Make sure the fans run by turning on the air conditioning. They should operate as soon as it is turned on. Bad fans are a common problem. The pump should not have been leaking after replacement though. Make sure you have no leaks first and foremost. Then make sure the fans work. There is also a fan control module located in the area under the battery, but it is difficult to properly diagnose. If the fans do not turn on with the a/c, you can jump the wires at the thermo switch. One should be power, and when you jump to one wire they should go to low speed, the other high.

Engine overheating how do I replace the thermostat

follow the top rad. hose back to the motor there you will see a hose clamp. loosen the clamp or if factory clamp some chanel locks work best and slide it on the hose and pull and twist the hose all in one motion and when you get it off you will see the neck of the themo housing the two should be 10mm studs or nuts. remove them and pull the housing off. after that clean the surfaces and replace with the new thermo and gasket, make sure you put it back just like you took it apart.
