I had a very similar problem. Is your coolant reservoir going down at all, even a little? My radiator burned a hole in my radiator tube and was causing coolant to leak very slightly. I didn't see any on the ground, but did notice that the reservoir was slowly draining.

Car will stop running in hot weather, seems to be electrical. quits when driving its like you turned off the ignition.

sounds like it might be the distributor. the distributor when bad heats up, then shuts off the car and will take hours to cool enough for the car to start again. hope this helps, goodluck.

if light on dash is on, then it sounds like a bad crank sensor. shuts off while driving down road, then will not start for about 15 minutes. heres more causes:: car shuts off when tempurature gets to normal-- low coolant, failing coolant tempurature sensor, air in water pump, failed radiator fan, it takes 10 to 15 minutes for a car to warm up. check or replace coolant temp. sensor if above is ok. have a good day !

My 1999 Hyundai Accent stalls. After few minutes of driving, the car stops and after 15 minutes it re-starts. What is the problem?

When your driving say about 20 or 30 minutes, the car, no matter what, just dies. If the engine cools down, it will start and run just fine, for about another 20 or so minutes, and same thing? Change the coil. its bad, it over heats, and pow. when it cools, works great. Had that happen to me. hope this is the problem

Car shuts down after 20 minutes of driving

a likely problem is a fuel pump going down...as it gets warm, it heats up the wiring inside and they expand causing a loss of connection inside the pump...As it cools, it comes back together and works again...when it dies out turn the key off and listen closely for the pump to hum when you turn the key on...If it doesn't wait for it to cool and then when you try again listen and if you hear it and it starts, that's your problem...fuel pumps will go bad quickly if you don't keep your tank at least a quarter to half full as the gas is what keeps it cool so it don't get too hot and melt the shellac on the wiring which will eventually short out...

My 01' Jetta over heats while driving...1 fan doesn't turn on.

Check that the other fan will run if power applied directly to it.
From wiring diagram, it shows both fans are wired in parrallel- thus should run together.

Signs the fuel pump maybe getting bad you local autoparts store like autozone, advance auto parts, murrays may have a tool you can get on loan to presser check the system similar to checking the air in your tires if the gauge reads low you know your answer and it will be cheaper then a shop checking it

I have a 96 audi a4 quattro

Just a suggestion but my guess would be the engine control module. Usually when they heat up, the engine shuts down and when they cool off it works again, until it heats up again, then poof. I sincerely hope that I helped. Best wishes.
