Question about 2005 Nissan Maxima

1 Answer

I need to buy an ECM for my 2005 Nissan Maxima, but I don't know how to tell which one is the correct model. There is a large MW on the ECM. Then there are the numbers A56V50ZR53724 and X51-2254420. The Nissan part number is 737107Y210. Can you tell me how to identify the correct used or rebuilt part?

I am having the same issue with trying to understand how do I tell which number is the correct correlation? If I call around to used parts places they are asking for the A56 #, but the dealership and Advance Auto needs the part # (i have same as yours; 23710-7Y210)...Whats the best solution? Bc i can't afford to buy one from the dealership

When you buy a Re-Manufactured ECM, just give them all the numbers you see, and they will figure out the numbers that you wiill need to match to your new one.

Is their a way to by-pass the ant-i theft module on a 1994 nissan maxima gxe

Without having a wireing diagram in front of me, I am at a disadvantage. I have never done one. I always fix the problem correctly. The antitheft systems are often quite complex and you have to be quite creative to get around them, so I really don't know what to tell you because there may be other problems created by going around the system, like damaging the ECM. Without doing some serious research which I haven't the time to do at this point in time, I really can't help you.

Is there an injector relay on a 1994 nissan maxima computer

Computers do not use relays. Computers use large transistors (A.K.A. "drivers") to control things like relays, solenoids and injectors.

That being said, your Nissan is equipped with "sequential multiport fuel injection". There are 6 injectors, all of which are supplied power from a 15 Amp fuse in the underhood fuse and fusible link center. The white wires at each of the injectors is hot (Battery Positive voltage) at all times, even with the ignition switch OFF. The drivers in the computer (or ECM)toggle the other wires on each injector (each injector having its own wire color) to ground (Battery Negative) in order to complete the injector circuit and cause the individual injectors to fire at the proper time. This is what is known as "injector pulse".

To sum-up, there are no relays involved in the actual injector circuits on your Maxima. The only relay that is remotely related to the injectors is the ECM Power Relay which supplies power to the ECM. Since the ECM will not function if this relay is defective, neither will the injectors work if this relay is faulty.

I hope this helps you to understand whatever it is you are trying to figure out.

2005 Nissan Maxima .... service engine light is on - took it to the dealer and they said it was my fuel sending unit (about $1000 to fix). But other lights are on: ABS, brake, traction control, etc. ...

before you do anything, have the battery fully charged, and have them do a Load test on it, once its up to full, clean all the contacts,, and start the car , check the voltage at the battery posts, you should have a reading of 13.5 to 14.5 volts,, if you don't, get your alternator checked, if the alt is trying to charge the battery all the time, the other things in your vehicle suffer, I had the problems your talking about in my honda, and once I got a new alt they all corrected themselves, the battery starts the car , then the alt runs everything from that point

I was told it was front as well for my 2000 nissian maxima gle. Can someone please tell me which one and what location. Some are saying I have three conveters. I need to know specific location so that I...

you need the front exhaust tube, that has cat build into it. however all you may need is a ECM (computer) reprograming done depending on the part number of your current ECM. There are software updates for your p0420 but the reprogram data has to match in nissan database to see if all you need is a reprogram. if it does not apply, than you will need front exhaust tube and most likely 02 sensor.
