if you want a cheap fix and you don't use the heater at all... unhook the other hose and join the two together with a fitting and two hose clamps.... if you want to fix it properly... yes you need to replace the core... the pipe is broken off completely... or just the hose ?

a lot of pain and heart ache. even on a rack they are a pain . check with your dealer there wae a recall on them for failing its worth the phone call to see kdc744

when installing new o-ring on tube, lubricate o-ring and stick it in water pump. Then pull pressure back on tube and then tighten hold down clamp. problem solved
