Why doesn't cargo light go out?

Either you need to turn the headlamp switch, or move the switch on the light itself, or the switch in the door jam is not working. If you push the switch in (door jam button) while the door is open and the light does not go out after you have checked the other stuff, the switch in the door jam is bad.

Driver door jammed on vw golf 99

Hold the door( when it's open) and try to lift it. After moving the door up and down, monitor the hinges, this will let you know if the hinges are getting worn.
drivers door gets used the most, maybe it's starting to sag causing binding.

1998 Plymouth Voyager drivers side sliding rear door will not open. I have removed the inner panel, checked the linkage and everything appears fine. I deduce that the rear latch mechanism is...

is the door latch mechanism moving and moving far enough to release the latch to open the door, you can`t remove the the striker plate from inside a panel as the bolts that hold the plate go in from the open side of the door jam, these do have a problem with the doors coming off the rails which mean that if this is the problem then the weight of the door will hinder the door from opening you may have to hit the door hard at the latch end of the door or even pry the door open at the same end to get the latch to pop open.the latch may even be seized or just jammed closed. good luck

If it's the weatherstrip that is sticking to the metal door jam, try spraying the weatherstrip with silicon spray. What is a door jam cylinder?

Dome light will not go off after closing door . I believe there was a delay before it went off, but now stays on.

It sounds like the door jam switch is not working. That happens when the door is not making full contact with the switch. Switch should be located somewhere along the door jam...either in the front or the rear part of jam. Have the switch checked out and replace if needed.

2000 blazer door

The part in the door is called the Door Latch/Electric lock assembly,(If you don't have electric locks it's just called the door latch), The part in the door jam is called the striker assembly.
