Most likely the clock spring rotating contact is defective under the steering wheel, this coiled ribbon contact is the connection from the steering wheel button to the cruise system

Where is cruise control fuse for 2005 rainer

Here is the fuse box diagrams for the 2 different engine options...and the 2 different box locations
Buick Rainer 2003 2006 fuse box diagram Auto Genius

HOWEVER ... I do not think there is an associated fuse for cruise control. That function is totally run from your on board computer (ECM). What can make the cruise not work is if any fault codes have occurred... Has your check engine light come on?
Some people with the same problem (that do not have an OBDll scanner to read or clear codes) disconnected their battery to reset the ECM. The cruise control then worked .... but if the root cause of the fault is not fixed ... then the same thing will likely happen again

Cruise control not working is there a fuse for this Ron

Hi, there are two brake switches on this system, one is for a Brake Light circuit while the other powers up the Cruise Control and Brake Transmission Shift Interlock Solenoid. This switch is a normally closed switch that opens when the pedal is depressed. Power from this switch is feed to the PCM which then powers up the Cruise Control Servo. The contacts of this brake switch can make poor contact which reduces the current flow to the Cruise Control Servo. To test for this problem, find the brake switch with the Gray wire and Brown wire. Back probe and jumper the Gray wire to the Brown wire. Test drive the vehicle. If the cruise control now works, replace the Cruise/Shift/Interlock Brake Switch. The brake switch is located behind the brake pedal.

2005 Honda Accord 4cyl cruise control does not work

check all your fuses first then take a look at the brake switch and there is a criuse cancel switch also, i think there may be a problem with the switch, even if the cancel switch was bad i think the power would still stay on but cruise would just stop and power would stay on. check fuses and switches anyway to be sure then take a look at the power switch.

Dash Board ligths not working

What year is this vehicle? It might have an ambient light sensor that has failed if it's 90's+,but older it's most likely the dimmer switch. If it's early 80's you should be able to replace it w/o having to removed the dash, just small panel cover nearby.
