Question about 1998 GMC Sonoma

I have noticed you can buy a/c recharge bottles to do it yourself. Is this as easy as they make it sound on the bottles? I've tried to find a service manual on-line but havent had any luck. Any help would be appreciated

No its not if your system is empty and you just refill it its just gonna leak out you have to service the system make sure your compressor is not wet with oil ( that indicates a leak ) change all orings receiver drier flush system change orifice tube add oil evacuate the system with a vacum pump to see if it holds vacum then fill it

It actually is, even though they do not have a high pressure gauge they base that you should just read the low pressure reading assuming your system is ok. Other than that yes its real easy.

How to recharge the ac on a 99 chevy blazer

Hi Kelea, I'm glad to help!
I see all the time people overcharging there A/C system because someone told them they need Freon, when in fact it turn out to be some other problem all together. But if your sure you need Freon then go to Autozone and buy a bottle of Freon the hose come on the bottle to hook up to the car. I'm sure if you buy the bottle from them they will help you fill the system. However if you live in the St Louis Mo area give me a call. 314-374-5218 Allen. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Kelea.

2002 Pontiac grand am air conditioner not blowing cold air

Sounds like your refrigerant is low/out. There is a product you can buy at your local wal-mart/auto store called EZ Chill Auto Air Conditioning Refrigerant. I've used this item personally in my own vehicals and it works awsome. One bottle comes with everything you need including detailed instructions and is super easy to put in. Costs anywhere from $25-35. Well worth it...hope this helps.

Oil in cooling system? how did it happened? what to do?

You didn't mention the car being broke down, or running very poorly, so, I want to take an educated guess and I really hope I'm right, for your sake.

Many of the products for our vehicles, motor oil, transmission fluid, and anti-freeze, come in very similar bottles. It's not that uncommon that occasionally a person can grab the wrong bottle and they don't notice it until they've already put some fluid where it doesn't belong.

Without having any reference to the amount of oil in the coolant I can only recommend that you try not to drive the car until you get your cooling system flushed out. There are a number of products that professionals use, as well as products you can buy at the parts store if you want to flush the system yourself

Good luck.
